Multiplex restored the work of three out of seven cinemas which were damaged because of the Russian aggression, Roman Romanchuk, CEO of Multiplex holding told Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
“Seven of our cinemas were damaged due to rocket attacks: in Mariupol, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Odessa, Kiev and two in Kharkiv. Three cinemas we have already restored and resumed showings: in the capital “Retroville” in summer, today (November 18 – IF) in Kharkiv Shopping and Entertainment Center Nikolsky and Odessa Shopping and Entertainment Center Riviera,” Romanchuk said.
According to his estimates, it needs $20 mln to rebuild all cinemas.
“Some cinemas are completely destroyed: in Zaporozhye and Mariupol. In Kherson, part of the SEC “Factory”, where our cinema is located, suffered less, there is theoretically possible to restore, but our experts have not been on site. In Kharkiv “Dafi” the resumption of sessions is technically possible, but not from the point of view of security at this stage”, – said Romanchuk.
Multiplex Holding was founded in 2003. According to its official website, as of November 2021, the network had 26 cinemas.
According to the National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NKTSBFR), as of the fourth quarter of 2021, its shareholders were AMC “Contador” PVNZIF “Octant” (9.9%) and “Avior” (12.4%), AMC “Capital Group” PVNZ “Capital Record” (11%) and “New Building Technologies” (11%) and ZNVKIF “Vasat” (49%).

In Kiev the work on processing of roads by de-icing agents has begun. The work involved 268 units of equipment “Kievavtodor”, reports the Kiev city state administration.

According to him, next week it is planned to resume the work of the stationary department of “Ukrposhta” in Volchansk. Such departments are already working in Balakleya, Izyum, Kupiansk, etc.
In total, “Ukrposhta” resumed work in 61% of the liberated settlements in the region.
At the same time, in some communities travel is still prohibited for security reasons.

However, we are given access to the Kupyansk community, which is located on the eastern bank. Almost 730 thousand people are registered in Kharkov region and 166 thousand of them are registered in the de-occupied territories.

In recent months, the state concern Ukroboronprom has established the production of ammunition of “Soviet” caliber 122 and 152 millimeters, as well as mines of caliber 120 millimeters.
“Means of destruction have been successfully tested and are produced according to NATO technology. It is not the first month. It is dispersed at various facilities, including partner countries,” the concern said in a press release on Friday.
“Ukroboronprom stresses that the ammunition it produces should reduce the dependence of Ukrainian artillery on supplies from abroad, where stocks of Soviet caliber shells and mines are gradually running out.
The concern also reported that it is continuing its reform to transform Ukroboronprom into a modern high-tech defense company. As of today, more than two dozen state defense enterprises have been transformed into business companies, with the concern itself next in line, the release said.
“The reform will increase the transparency of the state defense sector, attract even more investment, transfer technology, create more joint ventures, including with NATO countries, and help secure the defense industry from corruption risks,” Ukroboronprom said.
It said it will jointly produce and develop heavy weapons and military equipment with companies from at least six NATO member states: Poland, the Czech Republic, France, Denmark and several more, the agreements with which do not provide for the disclosure of any data.
“We create joint defense enterprises, build closed-cycle ammunition production lines, jointly produce armored vehicles and multiple-launch rocket systems and develop new high-tech weapons. To do this, we use both existing facilities and newly created ones in safe locations,” Ukroboronprom stressed.
The concern added that in order to accelerate the development of existing international defense projects and the emergence of new ones, it agreed on further coordination with the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
