ASKA-Life to increase its authorized capital by 2.6 times

On March 25, the shareholders’ meeting of Ukrainian Joint Stock Insurance Company ASKA-Life (Kyiv) decided to increase the authorized capital by 2.56 times, up to UAH 49.625 million, through an additional issue of shares worth UAH 30.240 million.

As the company reported in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC), the additional issue of shares will be made at the expense of part of the retained earnings for 2014-2019.

As reported, in January-September 2023, ASKA-Life collected net and gross insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 117.5 million, which is 49% less than in the same period in 2022.

During the reporting period, the company paid UAH 8.376 million to clients (36% more). The company’s administrative expenses increased by 15.4% to UAH 9.436 million, while sales expenses decreased by 2.2 times to UAH 98.9 million.

At the same time, the financial loss from operating activities for the first nine months of 2021 decreased to UAH 12.6 million from UAH 15.7 million. Net loss amounted to UAH 1,058 million, which is 6.5 times less than in January-September 2022.

ASKA-Life Insurance Company was registered in 2003 and specializes in life insurance.

According to the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, as of the second quarter of 2023, 55.6667% of the company is owned by SCM Finance Limited, 44.3333% – by Alexander Sosis.

ASKA-Life plans to increase its authorized capital by 2.6 times

The meeting of shareholders of PJSC Ukrainian Joint-Stock Insurance Company ASKA-Life (Kyiv) on February 5 will consider increasing the authorized capital by 2.56 times, up to UAH 49.625 million, by holding an additional issue of UAH 30.240 million.

According to the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC), the issue will be carried out by increasing the nominal value of shares by allocating part of the retained earnings for 2014-2019 to the authorized capital.

As reported, in January-September 2023, the company collected net and gross insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 117.5 million, which is 49% less than in the same period in 2022.

In the first nine months of 2023, the company paid UAH 8.376 million to customers, which is 36% more than in the same period of 2022. The company’s administrative expenses for the reporting period increased by 15.4% to UAH 9.436 million, while sales expenses decreased by 2.2 times to UAH 98.9 million.

The financial loss from operating activities for the first nine months of 2023 decreased to UAH 12.6 million from UAH 15.7 million compared to the same period in 2022.

Net loss amounted to UAH 1,058 million, which is 6.5 times less than in January-September 2022.

“ASKA-Life” reduced premiums by 49%, increased payments by 36%

In January-September 2023, PJSC “Ukrainian Joint-Stock Insurance Company “ASKA-Life” (Kyiv) collected net and gross insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 117.5 million, which is 49% less than in the same period of 2022.
The company’s interim financial report, published in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine (NSSMC), does not include premiums to reinsurers.
According to the published data, for the first nine months of 2023, the company paid UAH 8.376 million to customers, which is 36% more than in the same period last year.

ASKA-Life has new general director

The Supervisory Board of Ukrainian Joint Stock Insurance Company ASKA-Zhizn (Kiev) on May 17 terminated the powers of the general director Elena Pantova due to the end of her employment contract, according to the insurer’s information published in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine (NSCSML).
It was also specified that by the decision of the Supervisory Board, Lyudmila Berkovich was appointed Acting General Director of the company, who during the last five years held the position – member of the Supervisory Board of “IC ASKA DS”, Deputy General Director for finance of “UASKA ASKA” and Deputy General Director for finance of “UASKA-Life”.
As it was reported, in January-March, 2023 “ASKA-Life” collected net and gross insurance premiums for the amount of 44,968 million UAH, which is by 49,2% less than in the same period of 2022.
The company has paid out UAH 4,310 mln to customers during the three months of 2023, which is 57,3% more than in the same period a year earlier.
The administrative costs of the company during the reporting period decreased by 8.8% going to UAH 2.9 mln, and the expenses on sales increased 2.4 times going to UAH 39.010 mln.
The financial loss from operations in the first quarter of 2023 decreased to UAH 9.027 mln from UAH 15.073 mln in the first quarter of 2022.
The net loss has amounted to UAH 6,5 mln that is 2,2 times less than in January-March 2022.

ASKA-LIFE INSURER SEES NET PROFIT RISE BY 28%

PrJSC ASKA-Life insurance company (Kyiv) in 2018 saw a net profit of UAH 11.6 million, which is 27.7% more than in 2017.
According to official information for the agenda of a meeting of shareholders scheduled for April 23, the insurer’s retained earnings amounted to UAH 52.204 million, which is 28.6% more than a year earlier.
The company’s assets last year increased slightly, to UAH 188.7 million.
Net worth grew by 10.3%, to UAH 77.1 million. At the same time, charter capital remained at the level of UAH 19.385 million.
Cash and cash equivalents increased by 3.2%, to UAH 57.8 million.
Debtor indebtedness decreased by 15.6%, to UAH 28.154 million.
Long-term liabilities decreased by 20.4%, to UAH 88.822 million, current liabilities increased by 3.6 times, to UAH 23.262 million.
