MARKET OF NEW COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IN UKRAINE UP

Initial registrations of new commercial vehicles (including trucks) in Ukraine in October increased by 11% compared to the same month of 2019 – up to 1,250 units, but compared to September this year they decreased by 7.4%, Ukrautoprom reports.
According to the association, more than a quarter of this segment of the car market in October was covered by the Renault brand, whose sales grew by almost 40% by October-209 – up to 353 cars. The second line of the ranking, as in October 2019, is occupied by Fiat with 135 registrations, which is 1.5% more than last year. Citroen has the third result (against the eighth a year earlier) with 105 registrations, or 69% more.
The fourth position of the rating is taken by two brands MAZ (-5%) and Peugeot (-11%) with 80 new cars each. Ford closes the top five with a 23% increase in sales – up to 79 new commercial vehicles.
Taking into account the October figures, 8,965 new commercial vehicles were registered in Ukraine in January-October 2020, which is 9% less than in the same period last year.

STATE AUTOMOBILE ROADS AGENCY OF UKRAINE REPAIRS ROADS IN 23 REGIONS

As of Tuesday, June 23, road construction is carried out on 3,000 kilometers of Ukrainian roads, namely, some 224 objects in 23 regions of Ukraine.
The State Automobile Roads Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) said on its Telegram channel on Tuesday that more than 500 kilometers of roads are currently being commissioned.
Ukravtodor said that in 2020, under the Big Construction project, it is planned to repair 4,200 kilometers of public roads. The total budget is UAH 90.2 billion.
“Currently, construction works are being carried out on 2,816 kilometers of roads through financing from the Road Fund, the national budget and loans. Construction works on 189 kilometers are being continued at the expense of international financial institutions. In addition, tender procedures have been announced for repairing 1,413 kilometers of roads, we are awaiting the conclusion of the main number of contracts in the coming weeks,” the agency said.

GERMAN-JAPANESE ENGINEERING COMPANY SUMITOMO ELECTRIC BORDNETZE WILL OPEN ONE MORE AUTOMOBILE WIRING PLANT IN UKRAINE

The German-Japanese engineering company Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze (SEBN) plans in two months to open the first stage of a plant for production of automotive electrical wiring in the premises of Khmelnytsky Mechanical Plant purchased by the investor. According to the website of Khmelnytsky Regional State Administration, today some of the premises have been repaired, there is already the management of the plant, employees are being hired. According to SEBN representatives, it is planned by the end of the year to create 500 new jobs, and with the expansion of production their number will grow to 2,000 people.
“PrJSC Khmelnytsky Mechanical Plant was included in the list of debtors, but with the assistance of local authorities it became possible to resolve the issues and sign an amicable agreement, which contributed to the rapid purchase of the object by Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze,” the report says.
As reported, Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze, the cable network manufacturer for Volkswagen Concern, opened the first Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze-Ukraine plant in the village of Baikivtsi in Ternopil region (the number of employees is 4,400) in 2006.
