BORYSPIL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RANKS SECOND IN ACI EUROPE RANKING

Boryspil International Airport in the third quarter of 2019 and September 2019 ranked second in the ACI Europe rating in terms of passenger traffic growth among the airports intended for 10-25 million passengers per year.
According to data posted on ACI Europe’s website, in September (up by 27.6%) and in the third quarter (25.8% more), Boryspil airport ranked second following Milan airport (Italy) with a rise of 33.5% and 26.2% respectively.
In addition, Kharkiv International Airport was included in the top five ranking on the dynamics of passenger traffic growth among the airports for less than 5 million passengers. In September (66.3% more) it ranked second after Maribor Airport (Slovenia) with an increase of 92%, in the third quarter (up by 42.1%) following Targu Mures Airport (Romania, 113.5% more), Ohrid (Northern Macedonia, 53.8% more), and Turku (Finland, 52% more).
ACI Europe monthly compiles a rating of airports by passenger traffic, analyzing data from more than 230 European airports.
Airports Council International (ACI) is the only global airport sales office in the world. It is divided into branches: ACI Europe, ACI Africa, ACI Asia, ACI Latin American/Caribbean, ACI North America, and ACI Pacific.

BORYSPIL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INCREASES PASSENGER TRAFFIC BY 22%

Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) in January-October 2019 increased passenger traffic by 22.4% compared to the same period in 2018, to 13.069 million people, the press service of the airport has told Interfax-Ukraine. Passenger traffic on international flights for the indicated period amounted to 12.145 million people (an increase of 23.7%), on domestic flights some 924,000 (an increase of 8.3%).
The number of flights in January-October 2019 amounted to 94,568 for arrival/departure, which is 16.3% more than in the same period in 2018, including 83,362 international flights (18.4% more), and 11,206 domestic (2.6% more).
In October 2019, Boryspil’s passenger flow amounted to 1.445 million people, which is 22.3% more than in October 2018. At the same time, passenger traffic on international flights amounted to 1.353 million people (up by 23.7%), on domestic some 92,800 (up by 4.4%).
The number of flights in October 2019 amounted to 10,147 for arrival/departure, which is 17.6% more than in the same period in 2018, including 9,021 international flights (20.1% more), and 1,121 domestic flights (0.8% more).
As reported, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMC) has begun consideration of the case on anti-competitive actions of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine in the aviation sector in connection with the order of the agency on preferences for air navigation services for Boryspil International Airport.

TRAFFIC IN BORYSPIL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT EXCEEDS 2018 LEVEL

Passenger traffic in Boryspil International Airport as of October 21, 2019 exceeded the figure for the whole of 2018 (12.6 million people) and amounted to 12.633 million passengers, the airport reports on Facebook. “The beginning of the week and we have good news! Today Boryspil International Airport has served 12.633 million passengers. And this is more than for the whole of 2018,” the airport said.
As reported, in January-September 2019 the airport increased passenger traffic by 22.5% compared to the same period in 2018, to 11.623 million people. Passenger traffic on international flights for the indicated period amounted to 10.8 million people (an increase of 23.7%), on domestic flights some 831,200 people (an increase of 8.8%).
In 2018, Boryspil Airport increased passenger traffic by 19%, to 12.6 million people.
Boryspil International Airport is the largest one in Ukraine with a total area of about 1,000 hectares.

BORYSPIL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INCREASES PASSENGER TRAFFIC BY 22.5%

Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) in January-September 2019 increased passenger traffic by 22.5% compared to the same period in 2018, to 11.623 million people, the press service of the airport has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Passenger traffic on international flights for the indicated period amounted to 10.8 million people (an increase of 23.7%), in the domestic sector some 831,200 people (an increase of 8.8%).
The number of flights for January-September 2019 amounted to 84,400 for arrival/departures, which is 16.1% more than in the same period in 2018, in particular 74,340 international flights (more by 18.2%), and 10,080 domestic flights (2.8% more).
In September 2019, passenger flow in Boryspil amounted to 1.649 million people, which is 27.6% more than in September 2018. At the same time, passenger traffic on international flights amounted to 1.552 million people (29.3% more), on domestic flights some 97,200 (6.1% more).
The number of flights in September 2019 amounted to 11,443 for arrival/departure, which is 24.7% more than in the same period in 2018, including 10,290 international flights (28% more), and 1,150 domestic trips (up by 1.6%).

BORYSPIL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KYIV) INCREASES PASSENGER FLOW BY 21.7%

The Boryspil international airport (Kyiv) in January-August 2019 saw a 21.7% rise in passenger flow year-over-year, to 9.974 million people, the airport’s press service has told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to the airport, 9.240 million passengers use international flights and 734,000 passengers used domestic flights.

In January-August 2019, 72,978 people were serviced for arrivals and departures that is 14.9% more over the same period in 2018, of which 64,049 travelled on international flights (16.8% rise) and 8,929 on domestic ones (2.9% rise).

In August 2019, the passenger flow of the airport amounted to 1.648 million people, which is 24.2% more than a year ago. The number of passengers serviced on international flights totaled 1.542 million people (25.8% rise) and 105,000 on domestic flights (5.1% rise).

Boryspil International Airport is the main airport of Ukraine, occupying a total area of about 1,000 ha. The airport has two runways: one with a length of 4,000 meters and a width of 60 meters, and the second with a length of 3,500 meters and a width of 63 meters. Four passenger terminals, postal and cargo handling complexes are located on the territory of the airport.

TRANSFER OF FLIGHTS FROM KYIV INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ZHULIANY) WON’T AFFECT REGULARITY OF BORYSPIL AIRPORT FLIGHTS

The transfer of flights from Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) to Boryspil International Airport in Kyiv region from September 2 to September 12, 2019 won’t affect regularity of other flights from Boryspil. First Deputy Director General of Boryspil airport Yevhen Dykhne wrote on his page in Facebook.
According to him, the flights of ten air companies, which regularly fly from Kyiv airport, will be shared between the terminals D and F of Boryspil airport.
In particular, passengers of Alitalia, Pegasus Airlines, Motor Sich, Belavia и LOT will depart from terminal D.
Passengers of Wizz Air, Ernest Airlines, Buta Airways, Jonika Airlines, Vueling Airlines will depart from terminal F.
As earlier reported, Kyiv airport will halt its work for reception and departure of flights from September 2 to September 12 because of maintenance of a landing strip.
