Kyiv does not plan to make changes to the schedule for the start of the heating season, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said.
“Today, we do not plan any changes in the schedule. So far, heating is connected only at the request of the heads of social institutions. As for all others (household consumers), we will definitely take into account the weather conditions and will inform the people of Kiev about the connection to the central heating” , – Klitschko said on the air of the national telethon on Tuesday.
At the same time, Klitschko recommended that the people of Kiev prepare for the heating season, in particular, insulate windows in houses and porches, as well as purchase warm clothes.
“It’s better to play it safe and get ready. Warm clothes will not be superfluous this winter. We must calculate different developments, because Russian barbarians are trying to destroy the critical infrastructure of Ukrainian cities and towns,” Klitschko summed up.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko appealed to the Federal Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany to transfer generators and mobile heating units to Kyiv as an aid, according to the website of the mayor of the Ukrainian capital on Wednesday.
“I am talking with German partners about helping the Ukrainian capital and the people of Kiev to get through this heating season, which will be very difficult under martial law. In particular, I appealed to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany to provide Kyiv with generators and mobile heating points as assistance,” wrote Klitschko in the Telegram channel.
The mayor of Kyiv also said that the Ukrainian capital will acquire mobile mobile boilers as a backup source of heat supply in case of emergency during the heating season. They will provide heat to hospitals, kindergartens, schools, and will work at heating points that the city will deploy.
The authorities of Kyiv will assist in the restoration of cities and towns of the metropolitan agglomeration, which suffered the most during the defense of Kyiv from Russian invaders.
With such a proposal, the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, addressed the heads of local communities, the press service of the mayor reports.
“Jointly defending the capital from the Russian aggressor, we once again became convinced of the importance of our unification into the Kyiv Agglomeration Association, which we created in 2019. We united not only in the defense of Kyiv and our communities, but also in providing volunteer assistance, supporting the military and temporarily displaced citizens. I am convinced that we must join forces in rebuilding, restoring our cities and towns, housing and infrastructure for our citizens,” he said.
In this regard, Klitschko put forward a proposal to the territorial communities for help from the center of the Kyiv agglomeration – Kyiv.
“In particular, in the form of a subsidy for the restoration of facilities damaged by Russian barbarians during the hostilities in the suburbs of Kyiv in February-March 2022. Because our communities together make up a big Kyiv, and we must jointly restore and develop it,” he emphasized.
