SINCE BEGINNING OF WAR, 93 ENTERPRISES MOVED TO LVIV REGION

Since the beginning of Russia’s armed invasion of Ukraine, 93 enterprises have moved to Lviv region, the press service of the Lviv regional military administration reports.
“In general, we have processed more than 400 applications for relocation. Of the 93 enterprises that have already moved, 38 have started work,” Orest Filts, the head of the investment policy department at the administration, said.
According to him, representatives of food, chemical, furniture, light industry and woodworking moved to Lviv region. As Filts noted, among them is Gemini Espresso, a natural coffee company, and MatrolLux, a manufacturer of mattresses, upholstered and cabinet furniture.
According to him, two more machine-building enterprises are planning to start work soon – Wind Farms of Ukraine LLC, which is part of Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Plant, and Pozhmashina, the only manufacturer of specialized firefighting equipment in Ukraine.
According to the estimates of the Lviv regional administration, more than 2,500 jobs will be created at the displaced enterprises.

THIRD FIELD HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT OF MILITARY AND DISPLACED PERSONS DEPLOYED IN LVIV REGION

The third field hospital for the treatment of military and displaced persons has been deployed on the territory of Lviv region, the press service of Lviv Regional Military Administration has reported.
“The mobile medical facility is designed for 50 beds and it was transferred to Ukraine by decision of the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands,” the Administration said.
The hospital includes: an operating room, resuscitation beds, an intensive care unit, an X-ray diagnostics unit, a clinical laboratory with a blood bank, and an oxygen concentrator. The hospital is also equipped with an air filtration and purification system.
As stated in the message of Lviv Regional Military Administration, the hospital can work offline on a diesel generator, and with stocks of medicines and consumables for full load operation for a year.
At present, the formation of a staff of specialists continues. The hospital will employ doctors who have left the front-line areas, as well as doctors from Canada and the United States.
“Now they are staffing the hospital, and in connection with this, they have not yet started accepting patients,” Head of Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytsky said.
This is the third field hospital deployed on the territory of Lviv region since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

DUTCH COMPANY OPENS PLANT IN UKRAINE FOR MANUFACTURING FEED ADDITIVES FOR ANIMALS IN LVIV REGION

The Koudijs Group of Companies (Koudijs, the Netherlands, a subsidiary of the Dutch Royal De Heus) has launched a plant for manufacturing mineral and vitamin supplements for agricultural animals in the village of Khylchytsi (Lviv region) with an estimated production capacity of 1,500 tonnes of finished products per month, investments in the project amounted to EUR 7.8 million, according to a posting of the website of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food.
“The new plant is eight floors of new specialized equipment from the world’s leading companies, automated control systems, an automatic packaging line and robotic technology,” the ministry said.
According to the ministry, the new plant in Ukraine is part of the Koudijs group of companies – an international producer of animal feed, concentrates and premixes, which has more than 90 plants in 60 countries of the world.
The Ukrainian branch of Koudijs Ukraine LLC, in 2020, increased its net profit 1.4 times compared to 2019, to UAH 38.46 million, revenue 1.6 times, to UAH 593 million.
According to the unified public register of legal entities and sole proprietors, the ultimate beneficiaries of Koudijs Ukraine LLC are Hendrik Anthony de Hois (the Netherlands, owns 51% in the charter capital of the company) and Fedir Shopsky (49%).
The company’s website states that the plant’s capacity at the level of 1,500 tonnes of finished products is able to fully meet the needs of Ukrainian livestock and poultry farms. The enterprise will produce mineral and vitamin supplements for the domestic market, but they also could be exported in the future.
“In order for the economy in the state to develop, the authorities must create the necessary conditions for this. Today, we are building roads, improving infrastructure, building schools and sports grounds and opening new powerful enterprises. For example, yesterday, the first innovative seed-breeding center in Western Ukraine was launched in the region, and today we are opening a modern plant for the production of feed,” the Ministry of Agrarian Policy said, citing Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytsky.

TWO WIND FARMS OF 76 MW TO BE BUILT IN LVIV REGION

Skolivska wind farm and Karpatska wind farm intend to build two wind power plants with a capacity of 40 MW and 36 MW (Lviv region), the website of the unified register of environmental impact assessment reports.
According to the report, within the framework of the project, Skolivska Wind Farm LLC plans to install 14 wind turbines. Karpatska Wind Farm LLC intends to install 15 wind turbines. The building area of the two stations will be 18 ha.
According to the unified state register of legal entities, Skolivska Wind Farm and Karpatska Wind Farm are owned by Cyprus-based Plotsan Holdings Limited, whose ultimate beneficiaries are a Swiss citizen and Ihor Ronchevych.

UKRAINIAN COMPANY PLANS TO LAUNCH $12 MLN PRODUCTION OF ANIMAL FATS AND FEED ADDITIVES IN LVIV REGION

Feednova LLC, which is a part of Effective Investments Group of Companies, plans to launch in May 2020 a first phase of production of animal fats and feed additives for farm animals and pets in Busk of Lviv region worth $12 million.
As the company’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine, refinery capacity of the first phase will total 130,000 tonnes of raw materials per day. The first phase of the plant will include two production lines.
The launch of the second phase scheduled for February 2021. It will consist of three lines processing 90 tonnes of raw materials per day.
The total capacity of the plant will allow producing 100 tonnes of ready products per day. Investments in two phases are estimated at $20 million.
FeedNova is a modern enterprise that produces feed additives for farm animals and pets.
FeedNova provides services on the collection, transport, preparation and processing of material of animal by-products, which can no longer be used as food for humans.
Effective Investments Group of Companies was founded in 2007. It manages business projects in Ukraine.

50 MW WIND FARM TO BE BUILT IN UKRAINE, LVIV REGION

Lviv-based Yavoriv Enerho 2 LLC will construct a wind farm with a capacity of 50 MW in Yavorivsky district, Lviv region. The project envisages the installation of 25 wind turbines with a capacity of 3.5 MW to 5 MW each at a distance of 400 to 800 meters from each other. The wind turbines will be 100 to 166 meters high. The total area of the wind farm will be 1 hectare. It will annually generate around 180,000 MW per hour.
In addition, Wind Power GSI Volyn, the owner of Yavoriv Enerho 2 LLC, plans to construct a high-voltage substation 100 kW on the area of 2 hectares and a TRDN split-winding transformer for receiving and sending generated power to the power grid.
It is also planned to modernize high-voltage equipment at the Lviv Zakhidna substation 330 kW (1-2 units 35 kW-110 kW).
