SPANISH-BASED INDITEX TO LAUNCH ONLINE ZARA STORE IN UKRAINE

Spanish-based Inditex SA, one of the world’s largest clothing retailers, plans to launch online sales of the Zara brand in Ukraine in the fall-winter of 2019, the company said in its report for the first fiscal quarter of 2019 (February 1 – May 30).
“Inditex continues to expand its global, fully integrated store and online platform. Inditex remains very active in differentiating its store database … During the autumn-winter campaign, Zara will launch an online store in South Africa, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Colombia, the Philippines, and Ukraine,” the report says.
As of the end of 2018, nine Zara stores and two Zara Home stores were operating in Ukraine.
Overall, Inditex Group consisted of 65 stores in Ukraine, in particular, such brands as Pull & Bear (14), Massimo Dutti (6), Bershka (14), Stradivarius (12), Oysho (7), and Uterqüe (1).
According to the company’s report, its pretax profit in Ukraine in 2018 amounted to EUR28 million.

DELIVERING COMPANY NOVA POSHTA RESUMES COOPERATION WITH U.S. ONLINE STORE IHERB

Nova Poshta International, part of Nova Poshta, has resumed delivery from the online retailer of cosmetics and perfumery iHerb (the United States), according to the company’s website. Clients of the company will be able to pick up their orders in the offices of Nova Poshta, in automated parcel terminals, or choose courier delivery. The delivery time is 7-10 days.
To order delivery via Nova Poshta International on the iHerb website, you need to select the option with the Nova Poshta International or Boxberry logo (the partner of Nova Poshta International) in the Delivery tab page.
“Customers have repeatedly asked us and wrote in iHerb proposals to return delivery of Nova Poshta International. We did everything possible so that every citizen of our country could again conveniently and quickly receive their orders,” Yuriy Benevytsky, the director of Nova Poshta International, said.

FRENCH SPORTSWEAR BRAND DECATHLON TO LAUNCH ONLINE STORE IN UKRAINE

The French sportswear brand Decathlon, part of the international Auchan Group, is to launch an online store in Ukraine in the spring of 2019 simultaneously with its first physical retail outlet, and announces plans to expand production in the country. “In six months, in the spring of 2019, we will open our first store in the north of Kyiv – in Retail Park Petrivka. Simultaneously, we will open an online store,” CEO of Decathlon Ukraine Florent Guieu said at a press conference on Tuesday. According to him, the company plans to cover the entire territory of Ukraine with its online store. The delivery of goods will be carried out from a warehouse located in Poland near the border with Ukraine. The online store will offer both delivery and customer pickup from the physical retail outlet.
Guieu also said that the company plans to expand production of own goods in Ukraine, which was launched in 2012.
“Ukraine is a fantastic country for production. We want to maximize the capacities for the production of footwear and non-technical goods here. We will try to produce more in Ukraine for the European market … Production is partnership, we do not own production facilities [in the countries of presence] with a few exceptions,” Guieu told Interfax-Ukraine in a comment.
In Ukraine, Decathlon produces goods in Zakarpattia, Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

COLIN’S WILL LAUNCH ONLINE STORE AND OPEN TEN NEWS STORES IN UKRAINE

Delta Tex LLC, which develops the Colin’s youth clothing store network in Ukraine, plans to open more than ten new stores in the next two years, as well as launch an online store by the end of May 2018. “I think we will launch an online store at the end of May-June … Over the next two years we plan to open about ten more stores, so we will have 75 stores in different cities,” Colin’s Ukraine Sales Director Volkan Peker said, speaking at the Retail & Development Business Expo 2018 exhibition held in Kyiv last week.
The first Colin’s brand store in Ukraine was opened in 2000.
As of the end of March 2018 the network had 62 stores with a total area of 21,000 square meters in 29 cities of Ukraine. Thus, the Ukrainian market is the third for the network after Turkey and Russia.
Colin’s is part of Eroglu Holding (Istanbul, Turkey), established in 1983. As of the end of March 2018 Colin’s network had about 600 stores in 38 countries. Delta Tex LLC was established in 2010.
