TRANSPORT ENTERPRISES OF UKRAINE INCREASE PASSENGER TRAFFIC IN JAN-JULY

Ukrainian transport companies transported almost 1.5 billion passengers in January-July 2021, which is 4% more than in the same period in 2020, the State Statistics Service reported.
The passenger turnover of transport enterprises in January-July 2021 amounted to 34.8 billion passenger-kilometers, which is 26.8% more than last year.
According to the State Statistics Service, 47.5 million passengers used rail transport (including city commuter train services) in January-July, which is 22% more than in January-July 2020, and 622.8 million passengers used road transport (more by 0.8%).
Air transport increased passenger traffic by 99.6%, to 4.7 million people.
In addition, according to the State Statistics Service, over the seven months of 2021, some 222.6 million passengers used trams (less by 6.4% versus January-July 2020), 261.7 million people used subway (more by 22%), and 340.1 million people were carried by trolleybuses (more by 2.9%).
During the specified period, water transport carried 200,000 passengers (more by 182%).

KYIV INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INCREASES PASSENGER TRAFFIC

Passenger traffic of Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport in January-July 2021 amounted to 524,200 passengers, which is 8.3% higher than in the same period in 2020 (483,900).
As reported on the airport’s website, by the end of July, the airport serviced 186,900 passengers, which is 3.5 times more than in 2020 (52,400). The number of passengers served on international flights is 179,700 and 7,200 passengers on domestic flights.
The number of flights in July was 2,196.
Kyiv International Airport is located in the business center of Kyiv, 7 km from the city center. It ranks second in Ukraine in terms of the number of flights and passenger traffic.

LARGEST UKRAINIAN AIRPORT BORYSPIL RAISES PASSENGER TRAFFIC BY 60%

Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) in January-July 2021 served 4.565 million passengers, which is 60% more compared to the same period in 2020 (2.848 million).
At the same time, according to the airport’s data provided to the Interfax-Ukraine agency, in July it served 1.168 million passengers, which is 3.5 times more than in July 2020, of which 735,640 people were on regular flights, 432,354 people – on non-scheduled flights.
In July, the airport accepted and dispatched 8,635 flights, which is 2.5 times more than in July 2020.
In addition, over the seven months of 2021, Boryspil airport served 2.512 million passengers on regular flights (an increase of 22%) and 2.053 million on non-scheduled flights (an increase of 2.6 times).
In total, for this period of 2021, the airport accepted and sent 37,899 flights, which is 49.4% more than in the same period in 2020.
At the same time, the number of transfer passengers for the seven months of this year decreased by 60%, to 156,812 people (for the same period last year, this figure was 392,346 people).
The share of transfers in the total passenger traffic in January-July 2021 decreased from 13.8% to 3.4%.

UKRAINIAN TRANSPORT COMPANIES INCREASE PASSENGER TRAFFIC IN JAN-JUNE

Ukrainian transport companies carried 1.263 billion passengers in January-June 2021, which is 4.2% more than in January-June 2020, the State Statistics Service has reported.
The passenger turnover of transport enterprises in the specified period amounted to 27.9 billion passenger-kilometers, which is 21.1% less than in January-June last year.
According to the State Statistics Service, 38.9 million passengers used railway transport in January-June 2021 (including city commuter trains), which is 19.6% more than in the same period in 2020, and 524.2 million passengers used road transport (1.8% more).
Air transport reduced passenger traffic by 68.4%, to 3.4 million people.
In addition, according to the State Statistics Service, in January-June 2021, some 189.2 million passengers used trams (5.9% less versus January-June 2020), subway carried 217.5 million people (23.2% more), trolleybuses some 289.6 million people (1.6% more).
During the specified period, water transport carried 0.1 million passengers (a rise of 689%).
As noted by the State Statistics Service, the indicators are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of the non-controlled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

UKRAINE STILL INCREASING PASSENGER TRAFFIC IN SIX MONTHS

Airports of Ukraine in January-June 2021, according to operational data, served 5.5 million passengers, which is 32.2% more than in January-June 2020.
The passenger traffic of airports in international traffic for the specified period increased by 32.1% – up to 5 million people, the website of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine reported.
In addition, Ukrainian airlines served 3.5 million people in the six months of 2021, which is 73.8% higher than in the six months of 2020. Including in international traffic 3.2 million people were transported (an increase of 78.6%).
At the same time, in January-June 2021, airlines performed 29,400 commercial flights (an increase of 47.7%), including 23,700 international (42.8% more).
As reported, at the end of 2020, Ukrainian airports served 8.7 million passengers, which is 64.4% less than in 2019.

Ukrainian transport companies carried 1.026 billion passengers in January-May 2021, which is 1.4% more than in January-May 2020, the State Statistics Service has reported.
The passenger turnover of transport enterprises in the specified period amounted to 21.5 billion passenger-kilometers, which is 7% more than in January-May last year.
According to the State Statistics Service, 29.9 million passengers used railway transport in January-May 2021 (including city commuter trains), which is 6.8% more than in the same period in 2020, and 426.9 million passengers used road transport (1.5% more).
Air transport reduced passenger traffic by 20%, to 2.4 million people.
In addition, according to the State Statistics Service, in January-May 2021, some 155.4 million passengers used trams (9% less versus January-May 2020), subway carried 174.4 million people (21.1% more), trolleybuses some 236.9 million people (4% less).
During the specified period, water transport carried 0.1 million passengers.
