PRESIDENT OF BELARUS SUGGESTS UKRAINE TO CO-HOST OLYMPIC GAMES

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko believes that Ukraine and Belarus may jointly apply for hosting the Olympic Games in the future.
“The President of Ukraine offers us to think together about whether we can even apply for hosting the Olympic Games. We can do it, two countries can,” he said, speaking at the Second Forum of Regions of Ukraine and Belarus in Zhytomyr on Friday.

PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE ISSUES DECREE ON GOALS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT UNTIL 2030

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has ruled to ensure compliance with 17 goals of sustainable development of Ukraine for the period until 2030.
According to decree No. 722/2019, posted on the presidential website on Monday, this document is aimed at ensuring the national interests of Ukraine in the sustainable development of the economy, the civil society and the state in order to achieve an increase in the level and quality of life of the population, observe the constitutional rights and freedoms of man and citizen.
Thus, Zelensky, supporting the global goals of sustainable development until 2030 and the results of their adaptation, taking into account the specifics of Ukraine’s development, as set out in the national report “Sustainable Development Goals of Ukraine” proclaimed by resolution No. 70/1 of the United Nations General Assembly on September 25, 2015, ruled to ensure compliance with the goals and also listed 17 such goals.

UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT DISCUSSES PROSPECTS OF BOOSTING INVESTMENT BY UBER WITH UBER CEO

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met Uber Technologies Inc. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York and discussed the prospects of increasing capital investment of the company in Ukraine with him.
“During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues regarding Uber’s activities in Ukraine, as well as the prospects of increasing the company’s investments in our country,” the press service of the head of state reported.
Zelensky informed Khosrowshahi of the implementation of the reform policy aimed at improving the business climate in Ukraine and creating favorable conditions for attracting foreign investments.
In addition, the use of environment friendly vehicles in Ukraine by Uber was discussed during the meeting.

PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE PLANS TO INVITE DONALD TRUMP TO PAY OFFICIAL VISIT TO UKRAINE

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky intends to invite U.S. President Donald Trump to pay an official visit to Ukraine.
“I expect that we will have very cool relations with the United States. I expect to invite, this has not happened for many years, and, as they say in English, the time to visit Ukraine. So we expect that we will agree on a visit,” he said in a video comment following the results of the first bilateral meetings in New York at the UN General Assembly, published on the President’s Office official page on Facebook.

PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE OBLIGES CABINET OF MINISTERS TO SIMPLIFY PROVISION OF PUBLIC SERVICES

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure a gradual transfer of certain public services to an electronic form, simplify the procedure of their provision and introduce an effective control mechanism.
According to presidential decree No. 647/2019 of September 4 on some measures to ensure the provision of high-quality public services, the government should introduce new approaches to the establishment and operation of administrative service centers, in particular, switch the provision of administrative services in regional and district state administrations to the administrative service centers of local self-governance bodies on the basis of the co-financing by the state of relevant expenses with the provision of an appropriate network of these centers and the availability of such services with the subsequent elimination of the obligation to form such centers at district state administrations. In addition, to send part of payment for the provision of administrative services for the logistics of the centers and remuneration to the administrators of such centers.
The document also raises the question of the appropriateness of the further provision of administrative services by state and municipal enterprises. It is proposed to resolve the issue of payment for administrative services by introducing uniform principles for determining the size of administrative fees for the services, the procedure for its payment and use.
