Manufacturer of paper products TM “Ruta” increased production by 14%

Ruta, a major Ukrainian manufacturer of sanitary and hygienic paper products, whose management company is VGP JSC (Lutsk), produced products worth UAH 281.3 million in January-February, up 13.8% compared to the same period in 2023.

According to Ukrpapir Association’s statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine, in physical terms, in particular, the production of toilet paper in rolls increased by 8.4% to 21.15 million units, which remains the third best result in the industry after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (42.5 million units) and Kokhava Paper Mill (24.3 million units).

The company produces cellulose-based sanitary products from imported base paper.

VGP’s brand portfolio includes napkins, toilet paper, paper handkerchiefs, and kitchen towels under the Ruta, Ruta Selecta, Fesko, Nosovic, Polotenchko, 100% paper, Servetta, and Ecolo brands. The assortment includes more than 180 items.

As reported, in 2023, the company produced products worth UAH 1 billion 611 million, which is 64.8% more than in 2022.

Ruta TM has increased production by 84%

In January-October 2023, Ruta, a major Ukrainian manufacturer of sanitary and hygienic paper products, whose management company is VGP JSC (Lutsk), produced UAH 1 billion 345.6 million worth of products, which is 83.8% more than in the same period in 2022.

According to UkrPapir’s statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine, the company has thus slowed down the growth rate of production in monetary terms slightly compared to the same period last year: in nine months, the figure was 90%, and in eight months, 97.1%.

In terms of volume, the company’s production of toilet paper in rolls increased by 47% to 111.3 million units, which is still the third best result in the industry after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (213.3 million units) and Kokhava Paper Mill (113 million units).

The company produces pulp-based sanitary and hygiene products from imported base paper.

VGP’s brand portfolio includes napkins, toilet paper, paper handkerchiefs, and kitchen towels under the Ruta, Ruta Selecta, Fesko, Nosovic, Polotenchko, 100% paper, Servetta, and Ecolo brands. The assortment includes more than 180 items.

As reported with reference to Ukrpapir’s data, in 2022, VGP JSC produced products worth UAH 977.61 million, which is 2.8% more than a year earlier. At the same time, according to the company’s report, in physical terms (tons), production decreased by 27% due to the loss of some markets with the beginning of Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine.

Exports accounted for more than a quarter of sales in 2022. The paper used as the basis for production was purchased mainly in Turkey and Romania.

Ruta has doubled its production volume in 8 months

In January-August 2023, Ruta, a major Ukrainian manufacturer of sanitary and hygienic paper products, whose management company is VGP JSC (Lutsk), produced UAH 1 billion 086.4 million worth of products, which is 97.1% more than in the same period in 2022.

According to UkrPapir’s statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine, the company has thus slightly accelerated the growth rate of production in monetary terms compared to the same period last year: in seven months, the figure was 96.7%, and in six months – 95.7%.

In terms of volume, the production of toilet paper in rolls increased 1.5 times, exceeding 89 million units, which is still the third best result in the industry after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (165 million units) and Kokhava Paper Mill (90.4 million units).

TM “Ruta” for 7M-2023 maintains almost twofold increase in production volume

Large Ukrainian producer of sanitary-hygienic paper products TM “Ruta”, the managing company of which is JSC “VGP” (Lutsk), in January-July 2023 produced goods for UAH 950.34 mln, which is 96.7% more than in the same period of 2022.

According to the statistical data of the association “UkrPapir”, provided to the agency “Interfax-Ukraine”, thus, the company still slightly accelerated the rate of growth of production volumes in monetary terms to the same period last year: for six months this indicator was 95.7%, for five months – 88.5%.

In physical terms, in particular, the production of toilet paper in rolls grew by 42% to 77.55 mln pieces, which is still the third result in the industry after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (142.71 mln pieces) and Kokhava Paper Mill (78.94 mln pieces), the gap with which is minimal.

As reported with reference to the data of “UkrPapir”, in 2022 JSC “VGP” produced products for 977.61 million UAH – 2.8% more than a year earlier. At the same time, according to the company’s report, in physical terms (in tons) the production volume decreased by 27% due to the loss of part of the sales markets in Ukraine with the beginning of the military aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

Net profit decreased to UAH 3.62 mln compared to UAH 96.43 mln a year earlier, while net income grew 14% to UAH 1 bln 075 mln.

More than a quarter of sales volume was exported in 2022. The products are represented on the markets of Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, Poland, Moldova, Kazakhstan, and the Baltic States.

The base paper for the production of products was purchased mainly from manufacturers in Turkey and Romania.

The owner of 100% of shares of VGP JSC is Tissico Limited (Cyprus), the beneficiaries, according to the state register, are Ilya Miretsky, the company’s general director, and Kamil Gotza, a Czech citizen.

RUTA BUSES PRODUCER DOUBLES NET PROFIT IN 2018

JSC Chasiv Yar Bus Plant (Donetsk region), which produces Ruta buses, saw UAH 14.6 million in net profit in 2018, which is two times more than in 2017. According to the agenda of a shareholders’ meeting due to on April 26 posted in the media, the company’s retained earnings was UAH 131.18 million at the beginning of 2019 (UAH 239.37 million in 2018).
The agenda includes the distribution of the earning received last year. According to the draft resolution of the meeting, the earnings would be retained.
In 2018, the plant increased its current liabilities by 27.3%, to UAH 4.62 million, while long-term liabilities were not formed.
Total accounts receivable of the company increased by five times, to UAH 11.76 million, while its assets in general decreased by 43.7%, to UAH 138.61 million.
Chasiv Yar Bus Plant was founded in 1958.
