NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE APPROVES REQUIREMENTS TO SUPPLIES OF E-TRUST SERVICES

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has approved a resolution on qualified providers of electronic trust services placed on the trust list under a proposal of the certificate authority, the NBU has reported on its website. According to the report, this document was drawn up with the aim of improving the quality, convenience and speed of customer service by banks, as well as to ensure compliance of the processes of providing electronic trust services with European and international standards. The resolution establishes the conditions for obtaining the status of a qualified provider and determines the requirements for the rules of its work, the composition of employees of the qualified provider and their functional responsibilities, as well as the requirements for managing access to information resources of the qualified provider. In addition, the document defines the requirements for the physical environment used by the qualified provider in the process of providing qualified electronic trust services and for ensuring the continuity of services provided by the qualified provider, as well as for managing keys of the qualified provider and using cryptographic information protection tools.
The new internal regulations of the certification center in order to bring the conditions of its activities in line with the requirements of the law on electronic trust services are outlined in the document. The document defines a list of qualified electronic trust services, the provision of which is provided by a certification center; organizational structure of the certification center; the procedure for entering of information/changes about providers into the trust list; certificate policy for the provision of qualified electronic trust services by the certification center; position of certification practices during the provision of a certified electronic trust service by a certification center.
The National Bank also canceled irrelevant legal acts regulating the activities of the NBU certification center and bank key certification centers in accordance with the terms defined in the law on electronic digital signature. The changes are outlined in NBU No. 137 resolution dated November 21, 2019 on the recognition of certain legal acts of the National Bank of Ukraine as invalid.

UKRAINE AND TURKEY PLAN TO LIBERALIZE MOTOR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES BETWEEN COUNTRIES

Ukraine and Turkey are planning to liberalize motor transportation services between the countries at the beginning of 2020, reads a post on the website of the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine following a meeting between Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy and his Turkish counterpart Mehmet Cahit Turhan in London on Monday. The sides are preparing relevant documents, the ministry’s press service said.
The ministers also praised the countries’ dialogue on cooperation in the spheres of maritime search and rescue and air services.

UKRAINE IN JANY-AUG SELLS INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS (GOODS, SERVICES) FOR UAH 1.685 TRL

Ukraine in January-August 2019 sold industrial products (goods, services) for UAH 1.685 trillion, which is 4.7% more than in January-August 2018 (UAH 1.609 trillion), in particular abroad for UAH 457.496 billion, the State Statistics Service has said.
According to its data, in August 2019 compared with August 2018, the turnover of goods sold in mining and processing industries grew by 0.4%, and from July 2019 decreased by 5.1%. At the same time, sales in mining industry in August 2019 compared with August 2018 increased by 2.5% (compared to July 2019 decreased by 9.2%), in processing industry decreased by 0.1% (compared to July 2019 by 4%).
In the total volume of industrial products sales for the eight months of 2019, the largest share fell on processing industry (63.8%), the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (18.1%), mining industry and quarrying (16.9%), and metallurgical production (16.8%).
As reported, in 2018 industrial products (goods, services) were sold for UAH 2.509 trillion, which is 16.5% more than in 2017.

SOME 3.376 MLN PEOPLE USE SERVICES OF UKRAINIAN TOUR OPERATORS IN 2018

Some 3.376 million people used services of Ukrainian tour operators in 2018. Total income of travel companies was UAH 16.9 billion (without VAT), according to the statistics on the website of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine. According to the ministry, the largest number of tourists used services of the following companies: Join UP! (902,600 people, including 878,400 Ukrainians traveling abroad), ANEX Tour (515,600 Ukrainians traveling abroad), and Accord Tour (279,700 people, including 260,500 Ukrainians traveling abroad).
Leaders among travel companies also include (284,900 people), Coral Travel (243,700 people), and TUI Ukraine (230,400 people).
Tour operators sold 1.56 million tours worth around UAH 37.766 billion in 2018.
As reported, total income of Ukrainian tour operators in 2017 was UAH 13.14 billion. Some 2.56 million people used their services.
