CHEMALLIANCE LAUNCHES LIQUID FERTILIZER PLANT IN ZAPORIZHIA REGION

Chemical Alliance LLC (ChemAlliance) has launched a plant for the production of liquid complex fertilizers with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes per month in Zaporizhia region, owner of the company Vitaliy Popov has said.
“On July 1, we launched a plant for the production of liquid complex fertilizers with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes per month in Zaporizhia region. Investments amounted to about $1 million,” he told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Popov, now the company is looking for a site for the second, more powerful production, which is to be launched in the spring of 2020.
“We plan to build two more plants in different parts of Ukraine. Ideally, these are Zhytomyr and Poltava or Cherkasy. I hope that we will implement these projects by the end of 2020. In total, we will reach 30,000 tonnes of liquid complex fertilizers per month,” he noted.
Popov said that Ukrainian raw materials and those imported from the EU (50/50) are used for the production of fertilizers.
Chemical Alliance LLC (Poltava) was established in 2010. It is engaged in production and sale of liquid mineral fertilizers and sale of granular ones.

WIZZ AIR CARRIES 1.3 MLN PASSENGERS FROM/TO UKRAINE IN JAN-JULY

The Hungarian low cost airline Wizz Air in January-July 2019 transported 1.3 million passengers from/to Ukraine, which is almost twice as much compared to the same period in 2018, Wizz Air’s press service has said.
“Wizz Air continues to provide Ukrainian passengers with the opportunity of affordable travel, offering flights on 46 routes to 13 European countries at prices starting from UAH 289. The constant expansion of Wizz Air’s activities facilitated the transportation of about 1.3 million passengers on its flights to and from Ukraine over the seven months of 2019. This is almost twice as much compared to the same period last year and makes Wizz Air the largest low cost carrier in Ukraine,” it says.
Wizz Air, the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, offers flights on more than 650 routes in 44 countries.
Wizz Air resumed operations at Lviv Airport in 2017, launching flights to Wroclaw and Berlin.

UKRAINE RAISES GAS PRODUCTION BY 1.8% IN JAN-JULY

Production of natural gas in Ukraine in January-July 2019 increased, according to recent data, by 1.8% (by 216.3 million cubic meters) compared to the same period in 2018, to 12.188 billion cubic meters, according to data from JSC Ukrtransgaz.
According to the calculations of the Interfax-Ukraine agency, gas production by Ukrgazvydobuvannia amounted to 8.868 billion cubic meters (0.3% more compared to January-July 2018), by PJSC Ukrnafta to 672.7 million cubic meters (10.2% more), and other companies to 2.648 billion cubic meters (5% up).
In July 2019, gas production amounted to 1.697 billion cubic meters (4.1% less compared to July 2018), in particular by extraction by Ukrgazvydobuvannia totaled 1.207 billion cubic meters (7.4% less), Ukrnafta some 97.1 million cubic meters (7.8% more), and other companies some 392.9 million cubic meters (up by 4.7%).

RAZUMKOV CAN BE APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF UKRAINE’S PARLIAMENT

The Servant of the People Party will propose Chairman of the party Dmytro Razumkov as a candidate to the post of Chairman of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada.
“Today, the party will offer me as a candidate for the post of chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” Razumkov said in Truskavets on Saturday, answering a question from Interfax-Ukraine.
