PORTUGUESE COACH PAULO FONSECA LEAVES UKRAINIAN SHAKHTAR DONETSK TO HEAD FC ROMA

FC Shakhtar Donetsk has announced that Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca left the Ukrainian club. “FC Shakhtar thanks Paulo Fonseca and his coaching staff for their excellent work. We wish them every success in their further career, more outstanding achievements, and great victories!” a report posted on the club’s website reads.
Italy’s Roma, in turn, reported on its website that Fonseca had been appointed the club’s head coach.
After taking the helm at Shakhtar on June 1, 2016, over three years Paulo has become one of the most successful coaches in the club’s history. With the team, he claimed three golden doubles and brought the absolute leadership in Ukrainian football back to Shakhtar. Over the years, the Orange-and-Blacks won three league titles, raised three Ukrainian Cups and secured a Ukrainian Super Cup.
In total, under the leadership of Fonseca, the team had 139 games, winning 103 of them.

CHORNOMORETS CENTRAL STADIUM IN ODESA WILL BE SOLD ON DUTCH AUCTION

The Individuals’ Deposit Guarantee Fund plans on June 25, 2019 to hold a Dutch auction for the sale of non-residential buildings of the Chornomorets central stadium at 1/20 Marazliyevska Street in Odesa. According to the press service of the agency, the lot also includes the rights of claim under 40 contracts signed with legal entities.
“All the assets are on the balance sheet of JSC Imexbank and offered in this composition for the first time. The initial selling price is UAH 3.666 million. The total area of non-residential real estate located in the historical center of Odesa, which is sold as a single lot, is 80,300 square meters,” the report says.
It says Chornomorets stadium, in addition to the sports part, includes a business center with a restaurant with a total area of 10,700 square meters, a fitness center of 4,300 square meters, a hotel of 9,800 square meters, an underground parking lot, etc.

INFLATION IN UKRAINE SLOWS DOWN TO 0.7% IN MAY

Inflation in Ukraine in May 2019 was 0.7% compared to 1% in April, 0.9% in March, 0.5% in February and 1% in January, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has reported. According to its data, in annual terms consumer price growth in May of this year accelerated to 9.6% from 8.8% in April and 8.6% in March.
In May 2019, underlying inflation dropped to 0.2%, while in April it stood at 0.4%, in March at 1.2%, in February at 0.2%, and in January at 0.3%. In annual terms, it remained at the level of April at 7.4% against 7.6% in March, 7.8% in February, and 8.3% in January.

SKYUP AIRLINE EXPANDS FLEET WITH EIGHTH AIRCRAFT

The Ukrainian airline SkyUp has expanded its fleet with the eighth aircraft – Boeing 737-800, the airline reported on its Facebook page.
According to the report, the new Boeing 737-800 with a UR-SQG tail number landed at Boryspil airport (Kyiv) on June 7.
The airplane will be a reserve aircraft of the main fleet, sometimes it will perform one-time charter flights on the order of corporate clients.
The airline’s fleet also consists of five medium-haul Boeing 737-800s (189 seats) and two medium-haul Boeing 737-700s (144,149 seats).
SkyUp Airline LLC was registered in Kyiv in June 2016.
