SCATEC LAUNCHES MOST POWERFUL SOLAR POWER PLANT IN UKRAINE

Norway’s Scatec started commercial operation of its largest solar power plant in Ukraine Progressovka (Mykolaiv region) with a capacity of 148 MW from July 2.
“We are pleased to complete our fourth project in Ukraine, supporting the country’s transition to green energy,” Scatec CEO Raymond Carlsen is quoted as saying in a post on the company’s website.
The Progressovka project envisages the production of 184 GWh of electricity per year, which will provide 76,000 households with power and will lead to a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions by over 70,000 tonnes, the company said.
The service life of the plant is over 30 years.

EXPORT OF FISH FROM UKRAINE INCREASES BY 28% IN JAN-APRIL

Export of fish and other aquatic biological resources by Ukraine in January-April amounted to 3,650 tonnes, revenue from their sales abroad increased by 28% compared to the same period in 2020, to $13.9 million, the State Agency for Land Reclamation and Fisheries reported on its website on Friday.
According to the ministry, in the first four months of this year, the largest buyers of Ukrainian fish products in monetary terms were Germany, which exported products worth $4.18 million (603 tonnes), Moldova – $1.99 million (876 tonnes) and Denmark – $1.98 million (420 tonnes). Significant deliveries were made to Lithuania – $1.01 million (377 tonnes), Israel – $0.83 million (100 tonnes), the Netherlands – $0.54 million (91 tonnes), Azerbaijan – $0.54 million (215 tonnes) and the United States – $0.51 million (130 tonnes).
The State Fisheries Agency said that since the beginning of the year Ukraine had exported most of the finished or canned fish – 1,180 tonnes, fillets of fish and other fish meat (including minced meat) – 1,020 tonnes, live fish – 320 tonnes and molluscs – 290 tonnes.

CITIZEN OF PARAGUAY INTENDS TO ACQUIRE 100% IN UKRAINIAN LINGERIE MANUFACTURER

A citizen of Paraguay intends to acquire 100% of the charter capital of PrJSC Wild Orchid, Ukraine, the lingerie manufacturer (Lubny, Poltava region), according to the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission. According to the report, Rocio Esther Guerrero Lopez, registered in Paraguay, announced its intention to independently acquire 1,424 common registered shares of Wild Orchid, Ukraine (100% of the charter capital), while as of June 25 of this year, she and the persons affiliated with her did not own the shares of the company.
According to the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, in the first quarter of this year, 100% of the shares of the joint-stock company belonged to Irina Meier, registered in Malta, and until December 2019, this package belonged to Russian businessman Vyacheslav Balabaev.
As reported, PrJSC Wild Orchid, Ukraine (then it was CJSC) was founded in 2005 as a chain of luxury lingerie stores and was a subsidiary of the Moscow-based lingerie retailer Wild Orchid Group.
According to the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, in 2014, Russia’s Etamin LLC became the owner of 100% of the shares of the Ukrainian company instead of CJSC Wild Orchid Group, and already in 2015 an individual from Ukraine, who was replaced by Balabaev in the second quarter of 2017, was the owner.

2.767.613 PEOPLE VACCINATED AGAINST CORONAVIRUS IN UKRAINE

During the day, July 1, some 90,959 people were vaccinated against coronavirus in Ukraine, thus increasing the total number of Ukrainians who were vaccinated against COVID-19 for the entire time of the vaccination campaign to more than two million people, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports on Friday.
“Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, over two million people have been vaccinated, of which 766,483 people received two doses, and 2.001 million people received one dose (of which two received one dose abroad). A total of 2.767.613 vaccinations were carried out,” the Facebook message of the Health Ministry said.
It is reported that 90,959 people were vaccinated in Ukraine on July 1, 2021. Some 35,472 people received one dose, some 55,487 people were fully immunized.
“Some 572 mobile teams, 1,546 vaccination points, 22 vaccination centers worked during the day,” the Ministry of Health says.
They report that as of July 1, 2021, some 765,181 people signed up for the COVID-19 vaccination waiting list.

FRENCH-BASED TOTAL EREN WANTS TO GAIN CONTROL IN NUMBER OF SOLAR PLANTS IN UKRAINE

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) will consider the application of French-based Total Eren S.A. (a subsidiary of Total) for the acquisition of more than 50% in six solar power plant operators (SPP).
According to the draft decision published on the AMCU website, Total Eren wants to gain control over Lviv-based Energy Space LLC (5.94 MW and 5.797 MW), Ternovytsia Solar LLC (13.023 MW and 15.537 MW), Ternovytsia Solar Plus LLC (12.832 MW and 15.537 MW), Sunlight Generation LLC (5.94 MW and 5.797 MW), Energopostach-Plus LLC (5.94 MW and 5.797 MW) and Lightful LLC (5.94 MW and 5.797 MW).
The main beneficiary of Energy Space and Ternovytsia Solar Plus is Kseniya Trofymenko (a daughter of the founder of NEST developer, the co-owner of the Multiplex cinema chain and ex-investor in Trade Commodity, Volodymyr Trofymenko), Ternovytsia Solar, Sunlight Generation Energopostach-Plus and Lightful – director general of TKS development holding Ivan Torsky.
Total Eren, together with the Norwegian company NBT, is building a large wind farm in Kherson region (Sivashenergoprom LLC).
