Tavria-V LLC, which develops a network of eponymous supermarkets and is a part of the Tavria group of companies (all of them are located in Odesa), in collaboration with Zakaz.ua platform, launches goods online ordering service for goods from stores.
“From February 25, users of Zakaz.ua product delivery service in Kharkiv have the option to make purchases in another supermarket chain – Tavria V. Now, more than 15,000 items of food and non-food products are available for orders. During the next few months, the assortment will continue expanding with new products,” the Zakaz.ua press service said.
According to the press service, now, Zakaz.ua operates in Kharkiv on the basis of one store, located on 30 Gagarin Avenue.
“During 2020, it is planned to connect not only supermarkets of this network, but also other local players,” the company said.
The Tavria-V chain has been operating since 1992, as of February 2020, it consists of 95 retail outlets.
According to the unified public register of legal entities, private entrepreneurs and public organizations as of February 25, 2020, the participants of Tavria-V LLC were ultimate beneficiaries of the company Borys Muzalev (60%) and Mykhaylo Muzalev (40%).
The charter capital of Tavria-V LLC is UAH 40 million.
Zakaz.ua, the online delivery service, was founded in 2010 and operates in eight Ukrainian (Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhia, Vinniytsia, Zhytomyr), as well as in Moldova (Chisinau).
The company provides food ordering and delivery services from Metro, Auchan, Novus, MegaMarket, and Furshet retail chains.
Import of fish, fish products and other aquatic biological resources in Ukraine in 2019 amounted to 399,100 tonnes for a total of $753.2 million, which is $117 million, or 18.5% more than in 2018, the State Fishery Agency has reported. In natural terms, according to data released by the Ukrainian Importers of Fish and Seafood Association (UIFSA) this week, import growth was 5%.
The association indicates that in 2018 the volume of imports in monetary terms increased by 20.5%, and in natural terms by 16%.
According to the agency, the main suppliers of aquatic biological resources to Ukraine (in natural terms) are Norway (80,000 tonnes for $205.4 million), Iceland (60,700 tonnes for $93.5 million), Estonia (39,600 tonnes for $16.8 million), the United States (30,700 tonnes for $67.6 million) and Canada (20,600 tonnes for $39.4 million).
Also, large volumes of fish products were delivered from Latvia, Spain, China, and the UK.
The agency said that about 80-90% of the volume of imports accounts for fish species, to which Ukraine does not have access, and are caught exclusively in the marine economic zones of other states.
“Basically, frozen fish or its fillets are imported to our country, which makes up 80% of imports. These products are mainly processed at domestic fish enterprises,” the agency said.
PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) plans to invest $700 million in modernization of equipment before 2023, CEO Mauro Longobardo has said.
“We have a specific plan focused specifically on protecting the environment. From 2020 to 2023, we plan to invest $700 million only on the environment,” he said during a presentation of the Ecology and Sustainable Development Committee under auspices of the European Business Association (EBA) on Tuesday, responding to a question of Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Longobardo, the company considers the new committee as a platform, including for discussions of a transition period for the transformation of the enterprise into a more modernized one.
The CEO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih said that the company plans to update the sinter plants and also invest in a new pelletizing factory.
“We plan to complete the repair and upgrade of two sinter plants by June 2021. The new pelletizing factory will take longer, at least 24 months is required from the moment we finalize negotiations with the contractor,” Longobardo said.

Cargo transportation operators, in particular Trans Energy, Aurum Trans and Aurum Rail, which are part of Aurum Group industrial and investment group, replenished their own freight car fleet with 94 units in 2019 (including 13 grain carriers and 81 high-sided wagons) for a total of UAH 142.776 million, while in 2018 some 60 cars (including eight grain carriers) were bought for UAH 80.56 million, the group’s press service has said.
“Thus, the total fleet of wagons of these operators amounted to 617 wagons,” the press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
Wagons are produced by Diesel Plant, which is part of the group (Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region).
According to the group’s press release, over the past three years, the group’s transport operators have invested about UAH 250 million in building new high-sided cars and grain hoppers, replenishing their own freight car fleet by 39%.
Aurum Group was registered at the end of 2016. Its core business is mechanical engineering, rail freight transportation, industrial pump engineering, chemical industry, investments in real estate and the agricultural sector.
62% of Ukrainians against land market
KYIV. Feb 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Some 62% of Ukrainians are against the introduction of the agricultural land market in Ukraine, according to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) on February 21-25, 2020.
If the All-Ukrainian referendum on the sale of agricultural land took place next Sunday, 15% of Ukrainians would vote in the referendum “in favor of” the land market, 62% – “against,” and another 18% would not vote.
According to the results of the study, during the period of November 2019 – February 2020, the share of supporters of land sales decreased: 22% in November, 19% in December, and 15% in February.
The survey was conducted using the CATI method (computer-assisted telephone interviews) using a random selection of mobile phone numbers. The sample is representative of the adult population (aged 18 years and older) of Ukraine. The sample does not include territories that are temporarily uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities. During the survey, 1,500 interviews were conducted, the sampling error with a probability of 0.95 does not exceed 3%. The data of this study are compared with the results of KIIS surveys, which were conducted from December 15 to December 18, from November 22 to November 25, from November 4 to November 7, from October 9 to October 11, and from September 6 to September 19, 2019.
