EBRD COULD ISSUE EUR140 MLN TO KYIVTEPLOENERGO FOR UPGRADING HEATING COMPLEX

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) could provide Kyivteploenergo with up to EUR140 million in a loan to modernize the heat and power complex of the capital, Senior Adviser of the EBRD Anton Usov has said.
The parties under the ERBD Green Cities program signed an agreement on the preparation of financing.
It is expected that the result of this work will be a loan of up to EUR140 million, Usov said on Facebook.
As reported, Kyiv, following Lviv, became the second city in Ukraine, which joined the EBRD Green Cities project.
In the autumn of 2018, the EBRD approved the extension of this program with the possibility of allocating additional financing in the form of various loans with a total volume of up to EUR700 million. According to the program’s website, it currently has over EUR1 billion of confirmed funding, of which more than EUR250 million has already been invested.

DTEK REDUCES COAL IMPORTS BY 24% IN Q1

DTEK Group in January-March 2019 reduced coal imports by 24.1% (224,700 tonnes) compared to the same period last year, to 707,700 tonnes, according to a press release from the company.
In the first quarter, DTEK enterprises increased production of coal by 1.3% compared to the same period of 2018, to 6.476 million tonnes.
In particular, the production of G and DG grade coal (Ukraine) in January-March 2019 increased by 0.4%, to 5.782 million tonnes. Production of A grade coal by Obukhovskaya mine (the Russian Federation) for this period increased by 9.9%, to 694,600 tonnes.
Concentrate output rose by 1.4%, to 2.843 million tonnes. In particular, output at third-party processing plants in Ukraine decreased by 74.7%, to 58,000 tonnes, while at Obukhovskaya mine rose by 33.2%, to 472,900 tonnes.

REIKARTZ HOTEL MANAGEMENT DOUBLES NUMBER OF ROOMS IN HOTEL IN IVANO-FRANKIVSK

Reikartz Hotel Management LLC (Kyiv), the management company of the national hotel chain Reikartz Hotel Group, will open a new building of the Reikartz Park Hotel Ivano-Frankivsk from June 2019, having doubled its number of rooms, to 78 rooms, the press service of the company has reported.
“The construction of the new building, the opening of a conference hall and a banquet hall are primarily due to the increased interest in hotel services in Ivano-Frankivsk and the growth of both tourist and business activity in the region. The new rooms will be performed in the classic Reikartz style and will have the following categories: grand standard twin, grand superior twin and two-room suite,” operating director of the network Andriy Dema said.
According to the company, the new building includes 40 rooms, a multifunctional conference hall for 100 people and a banquet room for 90 people.
As reported, Reikartz Hotel Management signed an agreement on the management of the hotel complex Park Hotel with 38 rooms in Ivano-Frankivsk in 2012.
