On Thursday, NPC Ukrenergo put into effect schedules of hourly shutdowns for consumers in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
According to the operator, for all categories of consumers in the Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye and Kirovohrad regions, the schedules of emergency shutdowns introduced on Wednesday evening continue to operate.
“We remind you that consumption restrictions are necessary to reduce the load on the networks, ensure the constant balancing of the power system and avoid repeated accidents after the power grids were damaged by rocket attacks and attacks by Russian drones,” the NEC notes.
In addition, the measures allow power engineers to restore damaged power facilities as soon as possible, balance the system and provide power to all consumers.
