Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to undergo personnel changes

The Servant of the People political party faction at a meeting on Saturday, March 18, discussed personnel changes in the government that are planned for next week, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.
“The dismissal of the Minister of Education and Science Sergei Shkarlet, the appointment of Oksen Lisovy as Minister of Education and Science, the dismissal of Pavel Ryabikin as Minister of Strategic Industries, the appointment of Alexander Kamyshyn as Minister of Strategic Industries,” Shmygal wrote in the telegram channel.
In addition, according to the prime minister, Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov will deal with a number of areas besides digitalization. His future position – Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Oksen Lisovyi is a former lecturer at Kyiv-Mohyla Collegium and also held one of the executive positions in the directorate of Ukrtelecom. In June 2010 he became head of the National Center “Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. With the beginning of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he volunteered to the front as a member of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. At the same time, he remotely continued to serve as director of the IAS of Ukraine.
Alexander Kamyshyn – former chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia (April 1, 2022 – February 27, 2023), since August 11, 2021 was acting chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia. Before heading Ukrzaliznytsia, he was a manager at Dragon Capital and SCM. Also in 2021, Kamyshyn worked as an adviser to Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov. In February 2023, he resigned as chairman of Ukrzaliznytsia, stating his plans to head Ukrzaliznytsia’s European integration office in Europe. On March 3, 2023, he was appointed advisor to the President of Ukraine (out of staff).
