Ukrainian enterprises in January-June of this year increased imports of copper and copper products in monetary terms by 75.1% compared to the same period last year, to $79.083 million.
According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, exports of copper and copper products in the first half of the year increased 3.3 times compared to January-June 2020, to $108.769 million.
In June, copper and copper products were imported for $14.675 million, and exported – for $20.395 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-June 2021 increased imports of nickel and nickel products by 58.3% compared to the same period in 2020, to $58.214 million (in June – $15.928 million), and aluminum and aluminum products by 14.4%, to $205.891 million ($38.258 million). At the same time, it increased imports of lead and lead products by 88%, to $4.855 million ($0.025 million), increased imports of tin and tin products by 47.7%, to $1.566 million ($196,000), and also increased imports of zinc and zinc products by 90.4%, to $42.594 million ($7.030 million).
Exports of aluminum and aluminum products in the first half of 2021 increased by 57.2% compared to the same period in 2020, to $76.632 million (in June – $15.138 million), lead and lead products by 61.7%, to $17.377 million ($3.333 million), and nickel and nickel products by 80.7%, to $2.391 million ($0.426 million).
Zinc exports in January-June 2021 amounted to $48,000 (in June – $31,000), while in January-June 2020 they amounted to $21,000. Exports of tin and tin products in January-June 2021 amounted to $14,000 (in June – $3,000) versus $82,000 in the first half of 2020.
