American Chamber of Commerce Presented Thanksgiving Awards to Ukraine’s Defenders and American People at Thanksgiving Dinner in Kyiv

19 November , 2023

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine presented the 2023 Thanksgiving Awards to Ukraine’s defenders fighting for freedom, sovereignty, and independence, and to the American people for their support of Ukraine and Ukrainians during Russia’s full-scale invasion. The awards were presented during a Thanksgiving dinner in downtown Kyiv.

240 top executives of American and international Chamber member companies, partners, friends, and stakeholders gathered in downtown Kyiv for the 2023 American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine Thanksgiving Dinner during the war. The event demonstrated the resilience and commitment to Ukraine and its recovery, and sent a clear message to the world – the business community working on the ground is grateful to those who support Ukraine on its path to victory, and Ukraine is open for business.

“On this Thanksgiving Day, we express our gratitude to the brave defenders of Ukraine who are fighting for the freedom and preservation of the Ukrainian nation. We are honored to be inspired by their heroism, which shows the world what true bravery is. We are grateful to the united American people for their unwavering commitment and support of Ukraine on its path to victory. Together to victory,” commented Andy Hunder, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink received the award on behalf of the American people. As Ukraine moves forward on its path to victory, the world has witnessed the unwavering commitment of the American people, the U.S. government, and U.S. business leaders to Ukraine and the enduring partnership between the two countries.

“AmCham members continue to invest in Ukraine and play a vital role in the economic recovery. The Government of Ukraine and the private sector, working together, can help Ukraine implement reforms, create a vibrant economy, and realize its Euro-Atlantic future. Together, we can ensure that Ukrainians have the freedom to determine their own future,” said Bridget Brink, United States Ambassador to Ukraine.

In 2015, the American Chamber of Commerce launched the tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving in Ukraine. The Chamber member companies recognize organizations, projects, and individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of a favorable business and social environment in Ukraine, promoted the country on the international stage, and made efforts to make it prosperous.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine has many people to whom it is grateful, people who are changing Ukraine every day, bringing Ukraine’s victory closer, and making it a better place to do business.
