The American company Amway, a leader in the direct sales market, reduced the turnover in Ukraine by 12.5%, to UAH 1.4 billion over 2019, the press service of the company told Interfax-Ukraine. The leaders in sales were Kyiv city and Kyiv region (28.1% of the total), the second and third places are still occupied by Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions (12.9% and 7.8%, respectively), the company said in the statement. According to it, the leading positions in terms of sales continue to remain in the categories of Health (34%) and Beauty and Body Care (34%).
“Amid [coronavirus] COVID-19 pandemic, the corporation accelerated its digital business optimization. In particular, the company is developing an online educational academy for independent entrepreneurs of Amway, with the help of influence marketing, presented a new line of decorative cosmetics, and also simplified the terms of delivery of products for customers,” the company said in the statement.
Thus, at the end of 2019, Tomasz Muras decided to leave the post of General Manager at Amway Ukraine LLC. Since 2013, he has led the Ukrainian division, and also headed the Ukrainian Direct Selling Association.
Since January 2020, the company was headed by Svitlana Erokhina, who has been working in the company since 2003 and will be responsible for the strategic management and development of Amway Ukraine in her new position.
Amway Ukraine LLC, a representative office of the international direct sales company Amway Corporation, has been operating since November 2003. Currently, more than 250,000 Ukrainian independent entrepreneurs of Amway are cooperating with the company.
