BORYSPIL AIRPORT INCREASES PASSENGER TRAFFIC BY 6%, DOUBLES REVENUES IN JAN-NOV

KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Boryspil International Airport, the largest airport in Ukraine, in January-November 2015 increased passenger traffic by 6% compared to the same period in 2014, to 6.757 million passengers.

According to the press service of the airport, revenues in the period more than doubled as compared to the eleven months of 2014, to UAH 2.6 billion.

“The introduction of a new development strategy in 2015 allowed the airport in November this year to ensure the early implementation of the annual financial plan of the state-owned enterprise in terms of both financial performance and production indicators,” head of Boryspil airport Yevhen Dykhne said.

The airport also reported that in the 11 months of 2015 it repaid over UAH 1.6 billion of loans and interest to the Ministry of Finance and banks.

“Providing the profitability of the state enterprise enabled to increase the amount of payments to the national budget and state targeted funds by five times, to UAH 231 million. The total amount of payments to the budgets of all levels for the 11 months exceeded UAH 405 million,” reads the report.
