The leading Ukrainian enterprise for the production of hydraulic power machines JSC Hydrosila (Kropyvnytskyi) reduced the daily volume of electricity consumption by 50% compared to the figures before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine and by 30% compared to the beginning of the invasion – to 45-47 thousand kW -h, said the Federation of Employers of Ukraine (FUE).
“By the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the daily volume of electricity consumption at the Hydrosila plant was 95-100 thousand kWh, since the beginning of the invasion this figure had dropped to 65-68 thousand kWh. With the introduction of restrictions, the question arose of further reducing consumption . Today (…) it is 45-47 thousand kWh,” the FRU said on Facebook on Friday, citing company information.
According to the report, as part of the reduction in energy consumption, the company, in particular, switched to increased work in the second and third shifts (ie, actually at night) to reduce the load during “peak hours” and reduce financial costs.
In addition, a number of technical processes have been revised, which also allowed to “win” a share of the electricity costs.
The company noted that during air raids, all employees are in shelter.
Hydrosila JSC is a developer and manufacturer of hydraulic power machines and hydraulic system components, part of the Hydrosila Group of businessman Pavel Shtutman.
According to the company’s report to the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, in 2021 it increased its net profit by 58.4% by 2020 – up to UAH 13.45 million, with a 27.6% increase in net income – up to UAH 654.24 million.

At a meeting on Friday, the government allocated UAH 320.9 million to provide grants for the creation or development of processing enterprises and for laying orchards as part of the eWork project, the Ministry of Economy reported on Friday.
The agency clarified that UAH 306.5 million of the allocated funds will be directed to the development of processing: 47 applicants will receive grants – 40 legal entities, 5 sole proprietors and two individuals who intend to carry out entrepreneurial activities in the electrical equipment and non-metal mineral products industries.
UAH 14.5 million were allocated for grants for the development of horticulture. They will be received by three farms that plan to plant 40 hectares of land with orchards, raspberries, pigeons and blueberries.
As First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko noted, entrepreneurs who receive the allocated funds will be able to create more than 900 permanent and seasonal jobs when implementing their business projects.
“In general, we have already transferred more than UAH 220 million to grant recipients in various areas of eWork,” Sviridenko said.
Dneprovagonmash JSC (DVM, Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region), a large railcar building company in Ukraine, controlled by the TAS financial and industrial group of businessman Serhiy Tigipko, completed January-September with a net profit of UAH 6.15 million, while in the first nine months of 2021 the loss was UAH 97.7 million.
According to the interim reporting of the company (non-consolidated), published on Friday in the information disclosure system of the National Commission for Securities and Stock Market (NCSMFR), its net income increased by 2.2 times – up to UAH 849.86 million.

As reported, DVM in the first half of this year increased its net income by 2.3 times compared to the same period last year – up to UAH 493 million, and reduced the loss by 67%, to UAH 25 million.
Thus, in the third quarter of 2022, it more than doubled its net income to UAH 357 million and received UAH 31.14 million of net profit against a loss of UAH 22 million in July-September 2021.
The report says that in the first nine months of this year, DVM produced 468 railcars, mainly gondola railcars and flatcars for large-tonnage containers.
“Dneprovagonmash” is one of the leading Ukrainian enterprises in the design and manufacture of freight cars.
As reported, in January-September 2021, against the backdrop of a crisis situation in the railcar building of Ukraine, the plant received a net loss of UAH 97.7 million, with a decrease in net income by 38.7% to UAH 384.4 million.
In total, last year DVM reduced the production of freight cars by 39.2% – to 477 units, sales – by 44% to 461 units. In total, 1.9 thousand wagons were produced in Ukraine.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated more than UAH 320 million for the creation and expansion of new enterprises under the eWork program, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal announced
“As for incentives to support and develop businesses, today we have a decision to allocate more than UAH 320 million for the creation and expansion of new enterprises under the eWork program,” he said at a government meeting on Friday.
The prime minister specified that UAH 306 million was allocated in the form of non-refundable grants for the creation of 47 new processing enterprises, and about UAH 15 million more for the creation of new agricultural enterprises in the field of growing berries and horticulture.
