The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has handed over the first batch of buleryans (long-burning stoves) out of 200 planned for Donetsk Oblast to Oleksandrivka community, said Vadym Filashkin, head of the regional military administration.
“Donetsk region will receive 200 buleryans from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The first batch of these items has already been received by the Oleksandrivka community,” he wrote in a telegram on Friday.
According to Filashkin, in the near future, the bullion will also be transferred to Bilozerska, Dobropil, Illinivska, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivska, Novodonetska, Pokrovska, Slovianska, Shakhivska communities and regional utilities “Water of Donbas” and “Donetsk Regional Waste Management Center”.
Filashkin noted that the bullion plants will be installed in pre-determined locations. Their special design makes it possible not only to provide buildings with heat but also to cook food on them if necessary.
“I am sincerely grateful to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for their assistance and special attention to the needs of Donetsk Oblast. I look forward to further fruitful cooperation,” Filashkin wrote.
