KYIV. Sept 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The European Union has proposed the five-year program to support the Energy Efficiency Fund, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko said at a meeting with European Commission Vice President in Charge of the Energy Union Maros Sefcovic.
“This assistance will be permanently expanded. This is not non-recurring assistance, but long support both technical and financial by the European Union [EU],” the press service of the deputy prime minister reported on Friday.
Earlier the EU confirmed its readiness to provide EUR 100 million to the Energy Efficiency Fund. This will allow the fund to start financing concrete energy efficiency projects.
