Kyivsky cardboard paper mill (Obukhiv, Kyiv region), a leader in Ukraine’s pulp and paper industry in terms of production and sales, produced goods worth UAH 862.86 million in January and February 2018, which is 34.3% up year-over-year.
According to the UkrPapir association, corrugated cardboard output grew by 16.1%, to 34.8 million square meters.
Production of cardboard increased by 22.3%, to 35,330 tonnes, including package cardboard (including fluting) that grew by 23.3%, to 22,860 tonnes, while box cardboard output increased by 20.5%, to 12,470 tonnes.
Production of base paper (for sanitary products) fell by 9.2%, to 11,230 tonnes.
Production of toilet paper grew by 7.7%, to 68.68 million rolls.
According to the association, in general, production of corrugated cardboard packages grew by 19.2% in January and February, to 160.83 million square meters, and paper and cardboard production – by 16.4%, to 150,660 tonnes.
Kyivsky cardboard paper mill is one of the largest cardboard and paper producers in Europe. It employs almost 2,200 people. It sells produce to almost 700 companies in Ukraine, some CIS member states and the rest of the world.
In 2017, the mill saw a 14.8% rise in production from 2016, to UAH 4.224 85 million.
