MINISTER OF CULTURE OF UKRAINE ON HOLDING EUROVISION 2023: IT’S NOT EASY AND NOT CHEAP, BUT WE WILL DO EVERYTHING AT HIGHEST LEVEL

15 May , 2022

Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko believes that Ukraine will be able to host Eurovision 2023 at the highest level.
“The organization of such a large-scale forum is neither easy nor cheap, but Ukraine already has experience, we hosted Eurovision twice. Therefore, I have no doubts that we will do everything at the highest level,” Tkachenko said on the air of the national telethon on Sunday afternoon.
As for the possible venue for Eurovision 2023 in Ukraine, the minister noted that both the city of Mariupol and the city of Kalush would be symbolic, like many other cities, but it is too early to talk about it.
“Several European ministers of culture wrote to me, who congratulated me on the victory … and offered assistance in organizing Eurovision,” Tkachenko added.
As reported, on the night of May 15, the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra with the song Stefania won the International Song Contest Eurovision 2022 in Turin (Italy).
