Sales of new commercial vehicles in Ukraine fell by 15% in May

Sales of new commercial vehicles (trucks and special-purpose vehicles) in Ukraine in May 2025 decreased by 15% compared to the same month in 2024, to 954 units, and by 3% (28 vehicles) compared to April 2025, according to UkrAvtoprom on its website.

According to the report, MAN took first place with 102 cars registered (a year ago it was third in the ranking with 92 units).

Second place went to last year’s May leader Renault (98 units compared to 305 units last year), and third place went to Peugeot with sales of 88 cars, which last year was in 11th place in the ranking with 35 cars.

The top five also included Citroen with 79 units (115 units in May 2024 and second place) and Mercedes-Benz with 75 units (38 units).

“Since the beginning of the year, 4,774 thousand new vehicles have been added to the Ukrainian fleet of trucks and special-purpose vehicles, which is 5% less than in the same period last year,” UkrAvtoprom reports.

As reported, in May 2024, the market for new commercial vehicles grew by 18% compared to May 2023, to 1,127 units.

In 2024, according to UkrAvtoProm, 12,900 new commercial vehicles were registered in Ukraine, which is 14% more than in 2023.
