Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said repairs to Shuliavsky bridge are planned to be completed by the summer of this year, but the problem of dismantling the fifth workshop of the Bolshevik plant, which should be one of the exits from the bridge, has not yet been solved, the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration has said.
“The main problem in completing the Shuliavsky viaduct is the fifth workshop of the Bolshevik plant. It has been inactive for a long time, dilapidated. They sell second-hand goods there. The Bolshevik plant itself owes the city more than UAH 200 million for land. What does the State Property Fund (SPF) do? They say that the city can buy it for UAH 700 million!” Klitschko said on the Ukraine-24 TV channel.
According to him, “such an approach is a robbery of Kyiv residents. If the State Property Fund does not transfer the fifth workshop to the city’s balance, I’ll appeal to the people of Kyiv to put pressure on the SPF. For us, the main thing is to complete an important infrastructure project in time and improve traffic in the city.”
