Average salary in job ads on Work.ua increased by 22% to 27,500 hryvnia

The Ukrainian labor market showed recovery and growth in key indicators in 2025, as companies posted 818,400 unique vacancies during the year, while in December 2024, the number of active vacancies was 88,900, according to the final study of the labor market in 2025 by Work.ua.

According to the published data, in regional terms, a third of all vacancies in 2025 were in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Another 9% of job offers were posted in the Lviv region, and 8% in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The greatest demand among employers remained for workers in blue-collar professions and in manufacturing and services, each of which accounted for 10% of vacancies. The share of retail trade, sales and procurement, as well as logistics, warehousing and foreign economic activity, was 7% each.

Among employers, the largest number of vacancies in 2025 was posted by the Aurora multi-market, with 6,900 job offers. EVA offered 6,400 vacancies, Fora offered 5,500, Nova Poshta offered 4,100, Novus offered nearly 3,700, Silpo offered 3,500, ATB Market and Foxtrot offered about 3,300, Ukrposhta offered 3,100, and MHP offered 2,800.

Work.ua emphasizes that job seekers’ activity remained at a record high. In 2025, users of the portal sent more than 16.5 million responses to job vacancies, which averaged 31 responses per minute. A third of all responses were for remote work, while the share of remote vacancies on the market was only 7%. The most responses were received for vacancies in sales and procurement with a share of 12%, IT – 8%, middle management administrative positions – 8%, marketing – 7%, and service, secretarial, and retail positions – 6% each.

The most competitive position of the year was direct manager: the number of responses in one day reached 676, with a proposed salary of 20-28 thousand UAH.

In 2025, the average salary among vacancies on Work.ua increased by 22% to 27.5 thousand UAH. The largest increase was recorded in the Donetsk region, at 55%, which is associated with a change in the structure of vacancies. There was also a significant increase in salaries in the Ternopil region, at 25%, to UAH 25,000, in the Kyiv region, at 23%, to UAH 32,000, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Cherkasy regions – by 20%, to UAH 24,000, Kharkiv region – by 19%, to UAH 25,000, Lviv region – by 17%, to UAH 28,000, and Sumy region – by 17%, to UAH 21,000. The only region where the average salary decreased was Kherson, by 2% to UAH 24,000, with only 1,000 vacancies posted in the region during the year.

In terms of professions, the highest salary growth was recorded in the categories of real estate, culture, and show business, by approximately one-third. Salaries increased by 25% in blue-collar professions and manufacturing, telecommunications and communications, by 23% in the hotel and restaurant business, by 22% in logistics, by 21% in the media and IT, and by 21% in construction. The smallest increases were observed in law (9%), medicine and pharmaceuticals (8%), education and science (5%), while salaries in the security and safety category remained unchanged.

At the same time, it is noted that for some IT managers, media buyers, luxury real estate sales managers, and security service managers, some employers offered salaries of over UAH 0.5 million.

Average salary in September rose to UAH 26,600 – State Statistics Service

The average monthly salary of full-time employees in September 2025 increased by 2.7% compared to August 2025 and amounted to UAH 26,623, according to the State Statistics Service (SSS).

According to the statistics agency, in September 2025, the average monthly salary in education increased by 17.1% to UAH 16,901, in transport, postal, and courier services – by 6.7% to UAH 27,793, in construction – by 6.3%, to UAH 24,456, in the arts, sports, and entertainment sector – by 4.4%, to UAH 19,319, in professional, scientific, and technical activities – by 3.7%, to UAH 35,166, in industry – by 3.5%, to UAH 29,954, in water transport enterprises – by 2.9%, to UAH 25,601, in agriculture – by 2.4%, to UAH 25,727, in other services – by 2%, to UAH 29,577, and in administrative services – also by 2%, to UAH 20,490, in wholesale and retail trade – by 0.4%, to UAH 31,266.

At the same time, there was a decrease in salaries in public administration and defense by 6.4%, to UAH 32,871, in financial and insurance activities – by 3%, to UAH 50,706, in healthcare – by 1.6%, to UAH 18,373, in information and telecommunications by 1.4% to UAH 64,330, in air transport enterprises by 1% to UAH 57,028, in temporary accommodation and catering by 1% to UAH 18,807, and in real estate operations by 0.2% to UAH 23,011.

According to the statistical agency, total wage arrears in September 2025 increased by 4.9% compared to the previous month and amounted to UAH 3.691 billion as of October 1, 2025.

The data does not include territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation and parts of territories where hostilities are (were) ongoing.

 

Average salary in Ukraine reached UAH 26,500 in July, according to State Statistics Service

The average salary of full-time employees in July 2025 was UAH 26,499, according to the State Statistics Service (SSS).

According to the statistics agency, the highest average salary last month was recorded in Kyiv – UAH 40,546, and the lowest in the Chernivtsi region – UAH 19,202.

The average salary in July 2025 in the field of information and telecommunications was UAH 67,222, in finance and insurance – UAH 55,994, in professional, scientific, and technical activities – UAH 34,068, in public administration and defense – UAH 33,896, in wholesale and retail trade – UAH 31,424, in industry – UAH 29,063, in transport, postal and courier services – UAH 26,612, in real estate operations – UAH 22,6987, and in construction – UAH 22,775.

The average number of full-time employees in Ukraine in July 2025 was 5.368 million people.

The wage fund for all employees in July 2025 amounted to UAH 150.361 billion, and for full-time employees – UAH 142.233 billion.

The State Statistics Service reminds that the data does not include territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation and parts of territories where hostilities are (were) ongoing.
