Copper imports increased by 10%, exports by 18%

In January-March 2025, imports of copper and copper products to Ukraine increased by 10.5% compared to the same period in 2024 to $46.42 million.

Exports of copper products increased by 17.7% to $21.35 million.

In March, imports amounted to $16.14 million, while exports amounted to $7.05 million.

For the whole of 2024, copper imports remained stable ($140.8 million), while exports increased by 22.4% to $88.24 million.

Copper is widely used in electrical engineering, pipe manufacturing, alloys, medicine and other industries.

Ukraine increased copper imports by 4% in January-February 2025

In January-February 2025, Ukrainian companies increased imports of copper and copper products by 4% compared to the same period of 2024 – up to $30.277 million.

According to customs statistics, copper exports increased by 31.3% to $14.305 million in the period under review. In February, copper was imported for $16.462 million and exported for $7.354 million.

Copper is widely used in electrical engineering, pipe manufacturing, alloys, medicine and other industries.

Ukraine reduced copper imports by 17.9% in January

In January 2025, Ukrainian companies reduced imports of copper and copper products by 17.93% compared to the same period in 2024, to $13.815 million. At the same time, copper exports increased by 31.7% to $6.951 million during this period. In December 2024, copper imports amounted to $13.487 million, and exports amounted to $7.128 million.

Ukraine maintained copper imports at level of 2023

In 2024, Ukrainian enterprises maintained imports of copper and copper products in value terms at the level of the previous year – up to $140.797 million. Copper exports increased by 22.4% to $88.237 million. In December, the country imported copper worth $13.487 million and exported it worth $7.128 million.

Ukrainian companies increased copper imports by 6% and exports by 24% in 11 months

In January-November this year, Ukrainian companies increased imports of copper and copper products in value terms by 6.1% year-on-year to $127.286 million.

According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine on Monday, exports of copper and copper products increased by 24.5% to $81.110 million over the period under review.

In November, Ukraine imported copper worth $11.033 million and exported it worth $8.129 million.

As reported, in 2023, Ukraine increased imports of copper and copper products by 2.2 times compared to 2022 – up to $140.795 million, while exports decreased by 20.1% to $72.078 million.

Ukraine increased copper imports by 11.7% over 10 months

In January-October this year, Ukrainian companies increased imports of copper and copper products in value terms by 11.7% compared to the same period last year, to $116.252 million.
According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, exports of copper and copper products increased by 19.4% to $72.981 million over the period under review.
In October, the country imported copper worth $11.742 million and exported it for $7.466 million.
