“Corum Druzhkivka Machine-Building Plant” (Dnipro) is manufacturing 30 freight cars with a load capacity of 6 tons for the company’s mines in March, according to the machine-building Corum Group, a subsidiary of “DTEK Energy.”
“One mine car can carry up to 6 tons of cargo at a time, has a service life of up to 10 years, and covers over 16,000 km of underground routes,” the statement reads.
The post notes that after the plant’s relocation, this model had to be adapted: some parts were redesigned and adjusted to fit universal equipment.
Corum Group is a leading manufacturer of mining equipment in Ukraine. It is part of DTEK Energy—an operating company responsible for coal mining and coal-fired power generation within Rinat Akhmetov’s DTEK energy holding.
“Corum DrMZ,” relocated to Dnipro in 2022, manufactured 358 units of underground mining transport in 2025, along with over 935,000 spare parts and components, and more than 400 metal structures. Repairs of KPD shearers have become a separate area of focus.
DTEK Energy’s machine-building assets include the Druzhkivka Machine-Building Plant, the Kharkiv-based “Svitlo Shakhtaria” plant, and the Pershotravensk Machine-Building Plant.
Corum Druzhkivka Machine-Building Plant (Corum DrMZ), part of the Corum Group (DTEK Energy), has completed the manufacture of a powerful main ventilation fan for the Pavlogradska mine, the plant announced on its Facebook page.
The plant notes that the fan’s impeller has a diameter of 3 m and weighs 26 tons. For comparison, it cites the parameters of the aircraft engine of the world’s largest aircraft, the An-225 Mriya, which has a diameter of 2.33 m and weighs 5.7 tons.
“The fan is 14 m long and over 4 m high and wide. Due to its size, final assembly will take place at the customer’s site, while only partial assembly has been carried out at the plant,” the statement said.
Korum DrMZ notes that this is the fourth fan of this type it has manufactured since 2014 and the third since the company’s relocation.
The cost of the equipment is not disclosed.
According to YouControl, Korum DrMZ, which was relocated to Dnipro in 2022, reduced its losses by 30% in January-June this year compared to the first half of 2024, to UAH 49 million, while its net income fell by 16.8% to UAH 521.6 million.

DTEK Energy’s machine builders have overhauled the EL160LS roadheader for the first time and handed it over to DTEK Shakhtoupravlenie Dniprovske, reports Corum Group.
“This is a new type of equipment for us, so the project was a real challenge. However, everything was completed on time and in accordance with the technical requirements,” the company said on its Facebook page.
According to the report, the machine received new explosion-proof electrical equipment of its own design, certified according to Ukrainian standards.
The machine has a 300-liter bucket and a 55 kW engine. It weighs 9.5 tons, has a boom swing of ±30°, and operates on slopes of up to 22°.
According to open source information, the EL160LS soil scraper is manufactured by the German company Hazemag. It is designed to level the soil of a mine workings, as well as to load loosened rock mass onto a belt or scraper conveyor.

Corum Group, a machine manufacturer and part of DTEK Energy, has produced the RH110 roadheader, the 11th in the line since production began in 2023, the company announced on its Facebook page.
According to the company, the new shearer has over 60 improvements, including hydraulic track chain tensioning to reduce downtime and increase reliability, and improved hydraulic distributors to ensure stable operation in harsh conditions.
In addition, the harvester has 19 pressure sensors for safer and smarter maintenance, and updated software for complete control over energy consumption and resources.
The RH110 is a mid-range combine harvester weighing 55 tons (20% more than previous models) with a 132 kW electric motor, which allows it to work in the hardest rock. The cost of the equipment has not been disclosed.
As reported, machine builders began manufacturing this line of combines in early 2023, and as of the end of 2014, eight had been manufactured, with a total of six combines planned for release in 2025.

As reported, in January-April of this year, the company’s machine builders manufactured and repaired 1,136 units of mining equipment, including three new combines. Also, 735,000 spare parts and components were delivered to mines.
The company does not disclose its financial results.
Corum Group, a machine-building company that is part of DTEK Energy, intends to produce six new generation RH110 roadheaders in 2025, the company announced on Facebook.
According to the report, a new RH110 was recently presented to miners, which became the eighth one manufactured this year.
As reported, DTEK’s machine builders started producing a new line of RH110 roadheaders in 2023. It differs from its predecessors with an improved and enlarged design of the executive body.
Its weight of almost 55 tons is 20% more than previous models, and the electro-hydraulic part is made using components from leading European manufacturers.
The RH110, in particular, has an enlarged loading arm window to accommodate larger pieces of rock and a protective fence for electric motors to prevent mechanical damage. The shearer is more efficient and safer to operate.
