Ukrainian metal companies in January-March 2021 increased earnings from exports of ferrous metals by 30% compared to the same period last year, to $2.67 billion.
According to updated statistics released by the State Customs Service, in March, earnings from exports of ferrous metals amounted to $1.16 billion.
At the same time, Ukraine reduced imports of similar products by 4.5% in January-March 2021, to $214.2 million. In March, this figure was $92.68 million.
In addition, Ukraine increased exports of metal products by 10.7% in the first three months of 2021, to $229.46 million. In March, their export amounted to $90.79 million.
During this period, imports of metal products increased by 7.7%, to $207.94 million. In March, they were imported for $82.66 million.
As reported, in 2020, Ukrainian metal companies reduced earnings from exports of ferrous metals by 12% compared to the previous year, to $7.690 billion. At the same time, Ukraine in 2020 reduced imports of similar products by 17%, to $1.040 billion.
Ukrainian metal companies in January-February 2021 increased earnings from exports of ferrous metals by 8.2% compared to the same period last year, to $1.51 billion.
According to updated statistics released by the State Customs Service, the share of ferrous metals of total FX earnings was 17.82% compared with 17.2% a year ago.
In February, earnings from exports of ferrous metals amounted to $764.6 million.
At the same time, Ukraine reduced imports of similar products by 12.1% in January-February 2021, to $121.53 million. In February, this figure was $63.798 million.
In addition, Ukraine increased exports of metal products by 5.7% in the first two months of 2021, to $140.613 million. In February, their export amounted to $77.148 million.
During this period, imports of metal products increased by 1.4%, to $125.407 million. In February, they were imported for $72.504 million.
As reported, in 2020, Ukrainian metal companies reduced earnings from exports of ferrous metals by 12% compared to the previous year, to $7.690 billion. At the same time, Ukraine in 2020 reduced imports of similar products by 17%, to $1.040 billion.
Metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in January this year increased receipts from exports of ferrous metals by 4.5% compared to the same period last year, to $745.530 million.
According to updated statistics released by the State Customs Service on Tuesday, ferrous metals for this period accounted for 18.98% of total revenues from exports of goods versus 17.16% in the first month of last year.
In December, revenues from exports of ferrous metals amounted to $714.503 million.
At the same time, in January this year, Ukraine reduced imports of similar products by 10.6%, to $57.732 million. In December, this figure was $87.321 million.
In addition, in January 2021, Ukraine cut exports of metal products by 0.5%, to $63.522 million. In December, metal products for $84.921 million were delivered.
During this period, imports of metal products decreased 6.6%, to $52.909 million. In December, metal products for $82.833 million were imported.
Ukrainian metal companies saw a fall of 9.4% in foreign currency revenues from exports of ferrous metals in January-July 2019 year-over-year, to $5.615 billion.
According to customs statistics published by the State Fiscal Service, the share of ferrous metals of total income from exports was 19.53% compared to 23.07% from a year ago.
In July 2018 alone, receipts from ferrous metal exports amounted to $818.213 million.
In January-July 2018, Ukraine decreased imports of similar products by 1.4%, to $741.440 million including imports reaching $140.422 million in July.
In January-July 2018, Ukraine decreased metal products exports by 0.1%, to $637.494 million including July deliveries being $103.106million. During this period, imports of metal products grew by 24.6%, to $627.461 million, including July imports worth $99.058 million.
As reported, in 2018 Ukraine saw its forex earnings from ferrous metal exports rise by 23.8%, to $9.937 billion. Ukraine saw imports of these products increase by 20.4%, to $1.367 billion.
Ukraine experienced a 23.8% rise in metal products exports, up to $1.11 billion. Metal imports grew by 19.9% last year, to $967.674 million.
Ukrainian metal companies saw a growth of 27.7% in foreign currency revenues from exports of ferrous metals in January-August 2018 year-over-year, to $7.001 billion. According to customs statistics published by the State Fiscal Service, the share of ferrous metals of total income from exports was 22.65% compared to 19.93% from a year ago.
In August 2018 alone, receipts from ferrous metal exports amounted to $803.263 million.
In January-August 2018, Ukraine increased imports of similar products by 25.7%, to $896.765 million including imports reaching $144.565 million in August. In January-August 2018, Ukraine increased metal products exports by 32%, to $729.444 million including August deliveries being $91.404 million. During this period, imports of metal products grew by 19.9%, to $598.239 million, including August imports worth $94.603 million.
As reported, in 2017 Ukraine saw its forex earnings from ferrous metal exports rise by 20%, to $8.666 billion. Ukraine saw imports of these products increase by 42%, to $1.135 billion. Ukraine experienced a 30% rise in metal products exports, up to $896.7 million. Metal imports grew by 25% last year, to $806.8 million.
Ukraine in January-June 2018 increased production of pipes from ferrous metals by 8.6% compared to the same period in 2017, to 544,000 tonnes, including 96,000 tonnes in June. The Ukrtruboprom association told Interfax-Ukraine, the enterprises of the association for the first six months of the year raised pipe production by 20.8%, to 406,000 tonnes, in June by 71,000 tonnes.
Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant (Donetsk region), located in the temporarily uncontrolled areas, was idle in January-June 2018, while in January-June 2017 it produced 3,400 tonnes of goods. The output of pipes at Interpipe Nyzhniodniprovsky Pipe Rolling Plant increased by 22%, to 149,200 tonnes, Interpipe Novomoskovsk Pipe Plant by 8.5%, to 51,000 tonnes, Interpipe Niko Tube by 31.2%, to 182,600 tonnes. Dnipropetrovsk Pipe Plant reduced output of pipes by 14.9%, to 9,700 tonnes, Centravis rose the figure by 14.8%, to 10,100 tonnes of stainless pipes. Trubostal plant kept the output of pipes at the level of the previous year, at 1,500 tonnes of pipes.
