GTSOU to buy three gas turbine units from Motor Sich for UAH 527.4 mln

Gas TSO of Ukraine LLC has entered into an agreement with Motor Sich PJSC for the purchase of three new 6 MW gas turbine power plants for UAH 527.364 million (including VAT).
According to the announcement in the Prozorro e-procurement system, the delivery period is until October 31, 2024. The effective efficiency of the plants is at least 30.8%, and the service life before the first overhaul is at least 25 thousand hours.
“Motor Sich will also supervise the installation, commissioning and start-up of three units in Kharkiv region for UAH 8.952 million (including VAT).
GTSOU provides natural gas transportation to consumers in Ukraine and the European Union.
“Motor Sich is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines. On November 5, 2022, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Office decided to seize the shares of five companies, including Motor Sich, as military property for the duration of martial law.

Ukraine to launch first gas turbine power plant on January 31

A 1 MW gas-turbine station, which will be the first in Ukraine, will be opened in Irpen on January 31, the head of the National Energy Regulator of the NKREKU Konstantin Ushchapovsky said.
“Tomorrow you have a landmark event – the opening of Ukraine’s first gas turbine station, which will allow to power the entire critical energy infrastructure of the city, if necessary,” – said Ushchapovsky during a meeting of the commission on Monday, addressing the mayor of Irpen Alexander Markushin, who was present at this meeting.
For his part, Markushin confirmed the information about the opening of the station, specifying that its capacity is 1 MW.
As reported, in late December 2022, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine called gas turbine and gas piston mini power plants one of the options for creating alternative mobile generation in conditions of damage to the existing generation by Russian shelling.
