Latvian pharmaceutical distributor SIA Emteko Holding has received permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) to acquire control over the Ukrainian representative office of pharmaceutical company Gedeon Richter, LLC Gedeon Richter UA.
According to the antimonopoly agency, based on its decision made on Thursday, Emteko has received permission to acquire a stake in the authorized capital of Gedeon Richter UA LLC, providing it with more than 50% of the votes in the company’s highest management body.
Emteko represents the interests of European pharmaceutical manufacturers and supplies and distributes their products.
Gedeon Richter UA is the Ukrainian representative office of Gedeon Richter, which belongs to a pharmaceutical holding company, a member of which, according to the YuoControl system, is registered under Russian law.
Gedeon Richter Plc has provided Ukraine with humanitarian aid worth more than €1 million, including medicines.
