THE GROWTH OF INDUSTRIAL PRICES IN UKRAINE INCREASES TO 9.6%

Prices of industrial producers of Ukraine in January 2022 increased by 9.6%, while in December 2021 – by 2.7%, in November – by 4.3%, in October – by 12.5%, the State Statistics Service said.
In annual terms (in relation to the same month last year), in January 2022 prices in industry increased by 69.1%, in December 2021 – by 62.2%, in November – by 60.7%, in October – by 57.2%, September – by 45.1%.
The State Statistics Service clarifies that within Ukraine the prices of industrial producers in January 2022 compared to December 2021 increased by 10.5%, while for deliveries outside the country prices grew by 6.3%.
According to the agency, in mining industry and quarrying in January of this year compared to December 2021 prices increased by 6.4%. Prices in extraction of crude oil and natural gas decreased by 0.1%, while prices in extraction of metal ores rose by 17.4%.
Prices in the supply of electricity and gas increased by 26.8%, in production of energy – by 18%, in production of intermediate consumption goods – by 4.7%, in production of chemicals – by 4%, in mechanical engineering – by 3.7%, in production of rubber and plastic products – by 3.1%, in the production of investment goods – by 3.1%, in the production of non-durable goods – by 2%, in the production of durable goods – by 1.9%, in food production – by 1.8%, in metallurgy – by 1.7%, in processing industry – by 1.6%, in the production of electrical equipment – by 1.6%, in the production of basic pharmaceutical products – by 1.5%, in the production of computers – by 1.1%.

Prices in the production of coke and refined petroleum products decreased by 6.7%.

RISE IN INDUSTRIAL PRICES IN UKRAINE ACCELERATES TO 2.6%

Prices in the Ukrainian industry in July 2021 increased by 2.6%, while in June – by 2.4%, in May – by 3.6%, in April – by 1.2%, in March – by 1.6%, February – 7.8%, January – 5.2%, the State Statistics Service has reported.
In annual terms (in relation to the same month last year), at the end of July 2021, prices in industry increased by 42.2%, in June – by 39.1%, in May – by 33.1%, in April – by 27.8%, in March – by 26.3%, in February – by 26.6%, in January 2021 – by 17.6%.
For the seven months of 2021 (compared to the same period in 2020), the growth in prices of industrial producers amounted to 30.4%.
The State Statistics Service clarifies that within Ukraine, prices of industrial producers in July from June 2021 increased by 2.3%, for deliveries outside the country – by 3.5%.
According to the statistics department, prices in extracting industry and quarrying in July this year compared with the previous month rose by 3%, the growth in prices in extraction of coal was 11.5%, metal ores – 4.4%, while prices in production of crude oil and natural gas fell by 2.9%.
Prices in production of coke and petroleum products increased by 18.7%, in metallurgy – by 5%, in production of machinery and vehicles – by 4.8%, in production of investment goods – by 3.7%, in mechanical engineering – by 3.6%, production of intermediate consumption goods – by 3.4%, energy – by 3.2%, in processing industry – by 2.8%, in sugar production – by 6.3%, in the supply of electricity and gas, production of chemicals, wood products – by 1.9%, production of rubber and plastic goods – by 1.7%, durable goods – by 1.5%, products of pharmaceutical companies – by 1%.
Prices in production of computers, electronic and optical products fell by 0.2%.

Industrial prices in Ukraine 14.5% up in 2020

Prices in the Ukrainian industry in December 2020 increased by 14.5% compared to December 2019, the State Statistics Service has reported.

As previously reported, in 2019 the growth in prices of industrial producers amounted to 7.4%, in 2018 to 14.2%, in 2017 to 16.5%, in 2016 to 35.7%, and 2015 to 25.4%.

The service clarified that within Ukraine the prices of industrial producers in December 2020 compared to December 2019 increased by 9.7%, for supplies outside the country by 36.1%.

Prices in the Ukrainian industry in December, compared to the previous month of 2020, increased by 1.8% after growing in November by 2%, in October by 3.8%, in September by 1.7%.

At the same time, the State Statistics Service indicates that the average annual decline in prices in industry in 2020 (January-December to January-December of the previous year) amounted to 1.6%, while in the previous years, prices increased, in particular, in 2019 by 4.1%, in 2018 by 17.4%, in 2017 by 26.4%, in 2016 by 20.5%, and 2015 by 36%.

Prices in extracting industry in December 2020 (compared to December 2019) increased by 29.5%, due to an increase in prices in the extraction of metal ores by 44.6%, oil and gas by 28.6%, and in production of coal they decreased by 7.3%.

In processing industry, prices rose by 15.7%. In sugar production they grew by 59.6%, production of bread and bakery products by 9.9%, meat products by 2.9%, dairy products by 6.5%, beverages by 2.6%.

In addition, prices in metallurgy in December 2020 from December 2019 rose by 25.2%, in production of intermediate consumption goods by 21.9%, in chemical industry by 20.9%, in production of non-durable goods by 18.7%, woodworking by 10.5%, pharmaceutical production by 10.4%, mechanical engineering by 2.1%.

In the supply of electricity, gas and conditioned air, prices increased by 3.9%, in production of coke by 1.8%.

INDUSTRIAL PRICES IN UKRAINE 2% DOWN

Prices of industrial producers in Ukraine in June 2020 decreased by 2%, while in May by 0.6% with an increase in April by 0.1%, in March by 1.8%, in February by 0.1%, in January by 2.5%, the State Statistics Service has reported.
The service clarifies that within the country in June from May 2020, the prices of industrial producers fell by 2.8%, while for deliveries outside the country they increased by 1.2%.
In annual terms (compared to the same month last year), in June 2020, industrial prices fell by 4.6%, in May by 5.1%, in April by 2.6%, in March by 4.2%, February by 6.8%, January 2020 by 5.9%.
In the first half of this year, compared with the same period in 2019, industrial producer prices also decreased by 4.9%, from the beginning of the year (June 2020 from December 2019) they increased by 1.8%.
According to the statistics agency, prices in mining and quarrying in June compared to May of this year fell by 5.2%, in particular, in extraction of crude oil and natural gas by 19.1%, in extraction of coal by 2.5%, while in extraction of metal ores they rose by 3.4%.
Last month, the price increase in production of coke and oil products amounted to 11.4%, chemical products some 8.4%, woodworking 0.7%, pharmaceutical manufacturing 0.6%, and in processing industry 0.6%.
At the same time, tariffs in the supply of electricity, gas and air conditioning fell by 7%, metallurgy production by 3.1%, engineering by 0.4%, textile production by 0.3%.
