As of October 1, 2020, some 27,623 Ukrainian households have installed photovoltaic (PV) panels and are consuming “clean” electricity in Ukraine.
The press service of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving reported that in the third quarter of 2020, almost 2,000 more households switched to PV panels. The total capacity of all PV panels is 712 MW, of which 53 MW (8% up) were launched in the third quarter of 2020.
“Since 2015, households have invested about EUR 560 million in PV panels. This is a contribution to their own energy independence and autonomy, as well as to the development of a large-scale Ukrainian market for services and equipment in green energy,” the press service said, citing acting Chairman of the agency Kostiantyn Hura.
