Canadian Maple Hope Foundation donated 30 portable life support systems MOVES SLC to Ukraine

The Maple Hope Foundation (Canada) donated 30 portable life support systems MOVES SLC to Ukraine in response to requests from the Ministry of Defense.
According to a press release from the foundation, the systems were donated to the foundation by the Canadian government.
The portable system, which weighs 18 kilograms, was specially designed to provide emergency medical care in combat conditions to wounded people in need of emergency medical care and transportation to medical facilities. The equipment is used by emergency medical services, the military, medical teams and disaster response agencies and has been purchased by the armed forces of the United States, Canada, Australia, Israel and several other countries.
“MOVES® SLC™ systems have been used by medical personnel in Ukraine since May 2022, but there is only one system for all of Ukraine, provided by Thornhill after the full-scale invasion. The systems provide medics on the front lines with the best means to treat the wounded,” the foundation said.
The device weighs 18 pounds and is carried like a shoulder bag. The device combines an oxygen (O2) concentrator, a ventilation system that stores oxygen, and full monitoring of vital signs. The portable system runs on batteries and without oxygen cylinders.
MOVES SLC systems will be deployed at strategic DOD locations, including the evacuation train as well as stabilization and mobile centers.
The Maple Hope Foundation, founded by Ukrainian social activists in Vancouver in 2014, provides regular military, humanitarian and social assistance. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the foundation has provided aid totaling 8.7 million Canadian dollars.
