Ukraine reduced nickel imports in 8 months

In January-August this year, Ukrainian companies reduced imports of nickel and products by 75.3% compared to the same period in 2022 to $11.038 million ($2.599 million in August), while aluminum and aluminum products increased by 17.8% to $243.990 million ($38.614 million).

Ukraine reduced nickel imports in seven months of 2023

According to the State Statistics Committee, Ukraine in the first seven months of 2023 reduced imports of nickel and nickel products by 77.3% compared to the same period of 2022 – to $8.439 million (in July – $732 thousand).
Ukraine in 2022 reduced imports of nickel and nickel products by 49.9% compared to 2021 – to $59.754 million, aluminum and aluminum products – by 33.4%, to $340.398 million.
At the same time, it reduced imports of lead and lead products by 66.6% to $2.839 million.

In January-June 2023, Ukraine strongly reduced nickel imports, but increased aluminum imports

Ukraine in the first six months of 2023 reduced imports of nickel and nickel products by 4.4 times compared to the same period of 2022 – to $7.699 million ($1.355 million in June), aluminum and aluminum products increased by 25.9% to $168.234 million ($31.461 million).
Exports of aluminum and aluminum products in January-June this year decreased by 0.9% year-on-year to $48.032 million ($8.297 million in June), lead and lead products decreased by 5.7% to $7.806 million ($1.121 million), nickel and nickel products totaled $125,000 ($18,000), compared to $1.266 million in the first half of 2022.
According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, Ukraine in 2022 reduced imports of nickel and nickel products by 49.9% compared to 2021 – to $59.754 million, aluminum and aluminum products – by 33.4%, to $340.398 million.
Exports of aluminum and aluminum products for 2022 decreased 42.7% from 2021 to $96.972 million, lead and lead products decreased 68.7% to $11.970 million, and nickel and nickel products decreased 73.9% to $1.268 million.

Ukraine cuts imports of nickel and nickel products 4.8 times in first five months of 2023

According to customs statistics, promulgated by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, Ukraine in the first five months of 2023 decreased imports of nickel and nickel products in 4.8 times compared to the same period of 2022 – up to $6.344 million (in May – $1.045 million).
Ukraine in 2022 reduced imports of nickel and nickel products by 49.9% compared to 2021 – to $59.754 million.

Ukraine reduced imports of nickel and nickel products by 96% in January 2023

Ukrainian enterprises in January this year, reduced the import of nickel and its products by 96.2% compared with January 2022 – to $312 thousand, aluminum and its products – by 33.6%, to $26.529 million, while the import of lead and lead products reduced by 95.4% – to $32 thousand, tin and tin products by 20.4%, to $172 thousand, and zinc and zinc products – by 67%, to $2.238 million.
Ukraine has reduced imports of nickel and its products by 49.9% in 2023 compared to 2022 – up to $59.754 million ($0.668 million in December), aluminum and aluminum products – by 33.4%, to $340.398 million ($29.457 million). At the same time, imports of lead and lead products decreased by 66.6% to $2.839 million ($12 thousand).

Ukraine in January-September reduced imports of nickel by 44%

Ukraine in January-September 2022 reduced imports of nickel and products from it by 44.4% compared to January-September 2021 – to $49.3 million (in September – $4.664 million), aluminum and products from it – by 30, 8%, to $239.539 million ($32.357 million). At the same time, it reduced the import of lead and products from it by 65.1% – to $2.395 million ($146 thousand). Imports of tin and products from it fell by 8% – to $2.789 million ($322 thousand), and imports of zinc and zinc products also decreased – by 58.5%, to $28.225 million ($2.090 million).
Exports of aluminum and products from it for the first nine months of 2022 decreased by 36.4% compared to January-September 2021 – to $75.861 million (in September – $9.406 million), lead and products from it by 67.2% – to $9.370 million ($0.684 million), nickel and products – by 69.2%, to $1.079 million ($0.141 million).
