Obolon PrJSC, one of the largest producers of beverages in Ukraine, received UAH 1.248 million in net profit in 2024, which is 1.47 thousand times less than a year earlier, and will use it for the company’s development.
According to a report in the disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC), the shareholders are to make the relevant decision at a remote general meeting on April 25.
The shareholders are proposed to approve the report of the Supervisory Board and the results of the company’s financial and economic activities for 2024, to prolong the audit services agreement with Grant Thornton Legal LLC on the existing terms, to take note of the conclusions of its audit report for 2024, and to approve the measures.
The shareholders should amend the company’s charter to elect members of the supervisory board (independent directors) and set their remuneration, and authorize the company’s president to sign civil law contracts with members of the supervisory board. It is proposed to approve Yevhen Rymar and Ihor Singayevsky as two independent directors.
Earlier, in March 2025, Obolon PrJSC changed its internal auditor to Iryna Kondratenko, who has been working as a pricing economist at the company for the past five years.
According to the Opendatabot service, in 2024, Obolon PrJSC received UAH 12.87 million in revenue, compared to UAH 10.76 billion a year earlier. At the same time, the company’s debt obligations increased by 14.9% to UAH 1.64 billion, and assets by 31.9% to UAH 9.238 billion, the number of employees by 108 people to 2164 employees. The authorized capital of the company is UAH 32.512 million.
Obolon Corporation produces beer, soft and low-alcohol beverages, mineral water, snacks, and is the country’s largest beer exporter. It has a main brewery in Kyiv and nine plants in the country’s regions.

Obolon PrJSC has won a tender to supply 171.5 million bottles of bottled water for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to all regions of the country for the first half of 2025, the press service of the State Logistics Operator (DOT) reports on Facebook.
“At the end of November, the State Logistics Operator announced a tender for the purchase of bottled water for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The announced purchase price was more than UAH 727 million, while the actual price based on the results of the auction was 10.2% lower and amounted to UAH 653 million,” the DOT said, adding that the actual savings from the auction amounted to UAH 74.3 million.
The DOT reminded that water is purchased separately from the main catalog, so the cost of the product is largely formed taking into account logistics costs.
Obolon PJSC (Kyiv), one of the largest beer producers in Ukraine, will receive UAH 1 billion 450.38 million of net profit in 2022, compared with UAH 130.82 million of net loss in 2021 and UAH 338.61 million of net profit in 2020.
According to the April 27 announcement of the remote annual meeting for 2021-2022, the loss for the year before last is proposed to be covered by undistributed profits, and all profits for the past year will be used for production development.
Among other issues on the agenda, to make changes to the information about the company in USRPOU, replacing the entry in the list of founders (participants) of the company “888 individuals, the share … 9030800 6 legal entities, the share … 23481900” record “individuals and legal entities according to the list of shareholders.
According to the document, the retained earnings of Obolon as of the end of 2022 reached 1 billion 446.23 million UAH, which is 7.7 times more than a year earlier, and equity rose by 44.1% – to 3 billion 665.01 million UAH.
Last year the company decreased its long-term liabilities by 7.5% going to UAH 986.41 mln, current liabilities decreased by 35.7% going to UAH 1 bln 403.78 mln.
At the same time total receivables increased by 45.9% to 812.24 million UAH, inventory – by 8.9% to 1 billion 134.0 million UAH, cash – 5.2 times to 152.79 million UAH.

According to the disclosure system of NKDBF, as of the fourth quarter of 2022 the main shareholders of PJSC “Oksamytove” (13,3305%), “Svitle” (14,3089%), “Premium-1” (20,0106%), “Soborne” (8,5114%) and a subsidiary of “Obolon” “Krasylivske” (23,9999%) were private companies. One of the largest co-founders of Obolon is Alexander Slobodian (8.8984%).
This shareholder structure was established in 2008 as part of Obolon’s protection from hostile takeover.
Obolon Corporation (Kyiv), one of the largest brewing companies in Ukraine, in 2020 increased its net profit by 36.6% compared to 2019, to UAH 351.81 million.
According to the corporation’s statement in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, its assets grew slightly over the year to UAH 5.89 billion, and retained earnings amounted to UAH 181.04 million compared to an uncovered loss of UAH 329.25 million in 2019.
The total accounts receivable of Obolon over the last year increased by a quarter, to UAH 463.38 million.
In accordance with the statement, at the annual meeting of Obolon shareholders scheduled for April 22, it is planned to approve decisions on attracting Grant Thornton Legis LLC to the audit on the financial results of 2020 and directing the net profit received for the year to the production development.
In addition, it is planned to approve a decision on the implementation of significant transactions with a total value of up to UAH 14 billion, which can be used to conduct business in 2021.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, the ultimate beneficiary of PrJSC Obolon is Ukrainian businessman and former MP Oleksandr Slobodian.
It was noted that low-alcohol drinks produced by Obolon in 2020 occupied a third of the Ukrainian market for this product.

According to a company report on holding the general meeting of its shareholders scheduled for April 26, its assets last year grew by 7.5%, to UAH 5.737 billion.
Undistributed profit totaled some UAH 381.1 million at the end of 2017, which is 3.5-fold more than a year ago.
Noncurrent liabilities soared 4.9-fold last year, to UAH 2.058 billion, while current liabilities fell by 47.4%, to UAH 1.737 billion. Total bills receivable grew 1.8-fold, to UAH 1.246 billion.
