The OTP Bank UA mobile application now offers the possibility to pay utility bills.
“It is important for us to make daily banking as high-quality and convenient as possible for our customers: money transfers, payments in stores, deposit and installment management, and now utility bills. Our app is about gentle banking, which allows our customers to manage their finances easily and simply,” said Lyudmila Vaksa, project manager at OTP Bank.
To pay for utilities in the app, you need to click on the card, select “Payments” and go to the “Utilities and Internet” section. Then you can add the address – utility bills will be displayed immediately, all information about debts or overpayments, as well as meter readings provided by the company will be displayed. It is also possible to pay a bill for a separate company, which the customer will find by name or details (account number in IBAN or EDRPOU format).
All payments in the “Utilities and Internet” section from any OTP BANK card are made without commission. Even payments from a credit card are not charged, and these payments are included in the grace period.
In the “Utilities and Internet” section, the “Payment history” menu is available, where you can view all payments made, regardless of whether the payment was made with a debit or credit card.
Please note! If any of the fields in the “Utilities and Internet” section are inactive, you should update the application to version 1.18.0 in the Play Market (for Android phones) or App Store (for iPhone phones).
In 2023, OTP Bank was ranked second among commercial banks in the overall rating of primary dealers, according to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. In total, the rating includes 11 banks – primary dealers.
OTP Bank ranks fourth among state-owned and commercial banks.
The status of primary dealer ensures the exclusive right to participate in the placement of domestic government bonds conducted by the Ministry of Finance, both on its own behalf and for clients of individuals and legal entities, as well as banks and financial companies that do not have this status.
It is worth reminding that in 2023, individuals – clients of OTP Bank purchased government bonds for a total amount of UAH 6.3 billion in equivalent, and the number of transactions amounted to 2064.
In the fourth quarter of 2023, OTP Bank became the first and currently the only bank to provide its customers with access to a unique service – the opportunity to purchase government bonds directly at auctions of the Ministry of Finance. This option was implemented through the OTP Bank UA mobile application. Already in December, 93.3% of customers who wanted to invest in government bonds used it to purchase government bonds. “This tool has become particularly popular because it offers a 100% guarantee of the state to return funds with interest. In addition, it is an opportunity to contribute to supporting the country’s economy, as government bonds are a loan to the state. When we implemented the possibility of purchasing government bonds through the OTP Bank UA app, many customers began to choose this convenient way of investing money,” said Valeria Ovcharuk, product owner of Private Banking at OTP Bank.

OTP Bank continues to develop the OTP Bank UA application and fill it with new features: from now on, it has the ability to pay for TV and Internet. The service is free of charge, and it is easy and convenient to use, said Oleg Klymenko, member of the Management Board responsible for retail business development of OTP Bank.
“A new feature that our customers have been expecting from us has been added to the application. It is important for users, because with today’s fast pace of life, there is often a need to pay for a TV package here and now, right before watching. Or you need to get access to the Internet urgently, and you need to pay the bill. We always try to learn as much as we can about our customers’ “pains” in order to offer the most useful solutions in our gentle mobile banking. Now we have the opportunity to pay utility bills in OTP Bank UA,” said Mr. Klymenko.
To use the new service, the customer needs to select a card, go to the “Payments” menu item, click on “Utilities and Internet”, then “Internet and TV payment”. In the search field, enter the name of the company. After that, the system will request a personal account, which is used to identify the service user. Finally, the customer needs to enter the amount and confirm the payment.
A repeat payment can be made in a few clicks: go to the payment history, click “Repeat payment”, enter the amount and confirm. You can find your payment history and get a receipt in the list of card transactions or in the “Utilities and Internet” section.
