Trypillia Packaging Plant (TPK, Ukrainka, Kyiv region), a subsidiary of Rubizhne Cardboard and Packaging Plant, which has stopped operations in Luhansk region, increased its corrugated packaging output by 13.3% in 2024 compared to 2023, to 165.2 million square meters.
According to statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine by UkrPapir Association, by the end of the year the mill slowed down the growth rate of this indicator slightly compared to the same period in 2023: in 11 months it was 16.4%, and in ten months it was 20%.
At the same time, TPK steadily retains its second place in corrugated packaging production in Ukraine after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (228.3 million square meters).
According to the association, in December 2024, TPK reduced corrugated packaging production by 14% compared to December 2023, but increased by 6% compared to November 2024, to 12.8 million square meters.
In monetary terms, TUC’s production increased by almost 10% last year to UAH 2 billion 726 million.
As reported, the main enterprises of the industry, which provided data to Ukrpapir Association, increased the production of cardboard boxes by 12.3% in 2024 to 590.1 million square meters, but compared to the pre-war year 2021, their production decreased by 21.8%.
Earlier it was reported that before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Rubizhne Cardboard Processing Plant, together with TPK, was the leading corrugated packaging producer in Ukraine.
After the destruction in Rubizhne, the plant shut down, and the legal entity Rubizhne CPP was re-registered in Kyiv.

In 2023, the plant increased its commercial output by 13.7% compared to 2022, to UAH 2 billion 480 million, while corrugated packaging production increased by 18%, to 145.8 million square meters.

According to UkrPapir statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine, the mill is now the second largest producer of corrugated packaging after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (166.7 million square meters).
According to the association, in September, TPK increased its corrugated packaging production by 10.6% year-on-year and by 1% year-on-year to 14.4 million square meters.
In monetary terms, the TPC’s production volume in January-September increased by 12.3% to UAH 2 billion 026 million.
The main companies in the industry that provided data to Ukrpapir Association increased their production of cardboard boxes by 15.6% to 434.6 million square meters during this period.

According to statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine by Ukrpapir Association, the mill continues to be one of the top three producers of corrugated packaging after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill and Trypillia Packaging Plant.
Over eight months, the company also increased its production of containerboard (including corrugated paper) by 4.1% to 51.3 thousand tons, and produced more paper by 75% to 0.72 thousand tons.
In monetary terms, in January-August, PCBF-Ukraine produced products worth UAH 1 billion 742.5 million (+16.5%).
As reported with reference to the data collected by the association from the main enterprises of the industry, in January-August 2024, the production of paper and cardboard in Ukraine increased by 3% compared to the same period in 2023 – up to 390.5 thousand tons, cardboard boxes – by 17%, to 384.3 million square meters.
Poninkivska Paper Mill (formerly Poninkiv Cardboard and Paper Mill), once the largest producer of school notebooks, now has one main production line – paper and cardboard, producing mainly corrugated cardboard and corrugated packaging, as well as wrapping and waste paper.
The plant is part of the United Cardboard Company-Ukraine (UCC, Lutsk) owned by businessman Mykola Lobov, whose production assets include, among others, Lutsk KPF-Ukraine (Volyn region), which produced 41.4 thousand tons of various cardboard in eight months (according to Ukrpapir), almost the same as last year, and 31.8 million square meters of corrugated boxes, compared to 2.7 million square meters a year earlier.
As reported, in 2023, PCBF-Ukraine produced products worth almost UAH 2 billion 450 million, up 3% year-on-year. Net profit increased 2.7 times to UAH 27 million.
In January-June 2024, Trypillia Packaging Plant (TUP, Ukrainka, Kyiv region), a subsidiary of the shutdown Rubizhne Cardboard and Packaging Plant in Luhansk region, increased its corrugated packaging output by 22.3% compared to the same period in 2023, to almost 80 million square meters.
According to statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine by Ukrpapir Association, the plant is now the second largest producer of corrugated packaging after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (109.7 million square meters).
Including in June, TUK increased its corrugated packaging production by 19% year-on-year, but reduced it by 11.7% year-on-year to 12.5 million square meters.
In monetary terms, TUK’s production increased by 11.2% to UAH 1 billion 320 million in the first half of the year.

Last month, the plant also increased production of containerboard by 19.1% to 7.5 thousand tons, and produced 0.08 thousand tons of paper against 0.04 thousand tons a year earlier.
As reported with reference to the data collected by the association from the main enterprises of the industry (since the State Statistics Service stopped providing such data in 2019), in January 2024, the production of paper and cardboard in Ukraine decreased by 7.8% compared to January 2023 – to 53.9 thousand tons, while the production of cardboard boxes increased by 11.3%, to 43.4 million square meters.
In monetary terms, in January, PCBF-Ukraine produced products worth UAH 233.75 million, up 6%.
