“Poninkivska CPPF-Ukraine” increases corrugated packaging production by 20%

Poninkivska Cardboard and Paper Mill-Ukraine (PKPF-Ukraine, Khmelnytsky region), a major Ukrainian corrugated cardboard producer, increased its corrugated packaging output by 19.9% in January-July 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, to 55.5 million square meters.
According to Ukrpapir Association statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine, the plant continues to be one of the top three producers of corrugated packaging after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill and Trypillia Packaging Plant.
Over the seven months, the company also increased its production of containerboard by 1.3% to 44.1 thousand tons, and produced more paper by 86.8% to 0.62 thousand tons.
In monetary terms, in January-July, PCBF-Ukraine produced products worth UAH 1 billion 529 million (+15.5%).
As reported with reference to the data collected by the association from the main enterprises of the industry, in January-July 2024, the production of paper and cardboard in Ukraine increased by 4.2% compared to the same period in 2023 – up to 340.35 thousand tons, cardboard boxes – by 18.5%, up to 334.89 million square meters.
Poninkivska Paper Mill (formerly Poninkiv Cardboard and Paper Mill), once the largest producer of school notebooks, now has one main production line – paper and cardboard, producing mainly corrugated cardboard and corrugated packaging, as well as wrapping and waste paper.
The plant is part of the United Cardboard Company-Ukraine (UCC, Lutsk) owned by businessman Mykola Lobov, whose production assets include, among others, Lutsk KPF-Ukraine (Volyn region), which produced 36.7 thousand tons of various cardboard (4.8% more) and 27.7 million square meters of corrugated boxes in seven months (according to Ukrpapir).
As reported, in 2023, PCPF-Ukraine produced products worth almost UAH 2 billion 450 million, up 3% year-on-year. Net profit increased 2.7 times to UAH 27 million.

“Poninkivska Cardboard and Paper Mill-Ukraine (PCPM-Ukraine, Khmelnytsky region), a major Ukrainian corrugated cardboard producer, increased its corrugated packaging output by 22% in January-May 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, to almost 39 million square meters.

According to Ukrpapir Association statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine, the plant is now one of the top three producers of corrugated packaging after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill and Trypillia Packaging Plant.

Over the five months, the company also increased production of containerboard by 6.7% to 30.9 thousand tons, and produced 1.6 times more paper – 0.42 thousand tons versus 0.26 thousand tons a year earlier.

In monetary terms, in January-May, PCBF-Ukraine produced products worth UAH 1 billion 064 million (+14.2%).

As reported with reference to the data collected by the association from the main enterprises of the industry, the production of paper and cardboard in Ukraine increased by 6.1% compared to the same period in 2023 – up to 240.4 thousand tons, cardboard boxes – by 21.4%, to 237.7 million square meters.

The plant is part of the United Cardboard Company-Ukraine (UCC, Lutsk) owned by businessman Mykola Lobov, whose production assets include, among others, Lutsk KBF-Ukraine (Volyn region), which produced 26.6 thousand tons of various cardboard (16.4% more) and 19.3 million square meters of corrugated boxes in five months (according to UkrPapir).

As reported, in 2023, PCBF-Ukraine produced products worth almost UAH 2 billion 450 million, up 3% year-on-year. Net profit increased 2.7 times to UAH 27 million.

In 2023, Poninkivska Cardboard and Paper Mill-Ukraine (PCPM-Ukraine, Khmelnytsky region), a major Ukrainian corrugated cardboard producer, increased its corrugated packaging output by 25.4% compared to 2022, to 86.7 million square meters.

According to Ukrpapir Association statistics provided to Interfax-Ukraine, the mill continues to be among the top three producers of this product after Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill and Trypillia Packaging Plant.

According to statistics, last year the plant also increased its production of containerboard by 16.3% to 79.2 thousand tons.

At the same time, in December, the production of corrugated boxes at PCBF-Ukraine increased by 16.8% to 7.8 million square meters by December 2022, and paper and cardboard by 36% to 7.7 thousand tons.

In monetary terms, in 2023, PCBF-Ukraine produced products worth almost UAH 2 billion 450 million, up 3.1% year-on-year.

As reported with reference to the data collected by the association from the main enterprises of the industry (since the State Statistics Service stopped providing such data in 2019), in 2023, the production of paper and cardboard in Ukraine increased by 12.3% to 578.3 thousand tons, and cardboard boxes by 19.5% to 539.26 million square meters.

The plant is part of the United Cardboard Company-Ukraine (UCC, Lutsk) owned by businessman Mykola Lobov, whose production assets include, among others, Lutsk KBF-Ukraine (Volyn region), which produced almost 66 thousand tons of various cardboard last year (according to Ukrpapir) (up 30.6%) and 17.4 million square meters of corrugated boxes.

As reported, in 2022, PCBF-Ukraine produced products worth UAH 2 billion 446 million, up 6.5% year-on-year.
