Kokhavynska paper mill (Lviv region), producer of sanitary and hygienic paper products (the Kokhavynka brand), in January-July 2021 increased the volume of commercial products by 10% compared to the same period in 2020, to UAH 366.8 million.
According to the statistics of the Ukrpapir association, provided to Interfax-Ukraine, in kind the production of base paper for sanitary and hygienic products slightly fell to 22,900 tonnes.
At the same time, the production of toilet paper in rolls decreased 4.5%, to 64 million pieces. (In general, the industry’s enterprises produced 407.3 million rolls in the quarter – a 2.6% decline).
Thus, the factory retains the third position in the production of these products after Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill (247.7 million rolls) and VGP (the Ruta brand, 79.5 million pieces).
Kokhavynska paper mill, operating since 1939, produces base paper for sanitary and hygiene products, as well as toilet paper and paper towels. The capacity of paper machines is 19,000 tonnes per year, processing equipment – 90 million rolls annually.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has provided a loan of up to EUR 13.8 million to Kokhavynska paper mill to finance the construction of a new production facility to make paper products based on imported cellulose (currently only waste paper is used as raw material). The total cost of the project is EUR 28.5 million.
Weidmann Malyn paper factory (MPF, Zhytomyr region), the only producer of electrical insulating board for power engineering machines in Ukraine, reduced production by 12.6% in January-August 2020 compared with January-August 2019, to UAH 351.85 million, the UkrPapir association has said.
According to UkrPapir data provided to Interfax-Ukraine, in physical terms during this period the factory cut industrial paper production by 8.3%, to 3,650 tonnes, whereas transformer board production increased by 26%, to 3,580 tonnes.

The factory produces transformer board, electrical insulating paper for power cables and transformer windings, crepe paper and other types of paper for industrial use, such as, packaging, filtration, and wallpaper.
Weidmann Malyn paper factory (MPF, Zhytomyr region), the only producer of electrical insulating board for power engineering machines in Ukraine, reduced production by 20.9% in January 2020 compared with January 2019, to UAH 46.07 million.
According to the UkrPapir association, in natural terms the factory’s production fell by almost 9%, to 494 tonnes, while transformer board output grew by 6.4%, to 451 tonnes.

In 2019, the factory decreased production of commodity goods by 6.5%, to UAH 595.05 million.
Private joint-stock company Weidmann Malyn paper factory (MPF, Zhytomyr region), the only producer of electrical insulating board for power engineering machines in Ukraine, increased production by 8.6% in January-May 2019 compared with January-May 2018, to UAH 294.48 million.
According to the UkrPapir association, in kind the factory’s production remained unchanged – 2,790 tonnes, while transformer board output grew by 29.7%, to 2,190 tonnes.

In 2018, the factory increased production of commodity goods by 7.7%, to almost UAH 636.46 million.
Private joint-stock company Weidmann Malyn paper factory (MPF, Zhytomyr region), the only producer of electrical insulating board for power engineering machines in Ukraine, increased production by 11.5% in January 2019 compared with January 2018, to UAH 58.24 million. Paper output in kind rose by 18.6%, to 542 tonnes, while cardboard production increased by 9%, to 424 tonnes.

Kokhavynska paper factory (Lviv region), a tissue and toilet paper producer (the Kokhavynka trademark), in 2018 increased production by 27.8% compared with 2017, to UAH 538.78 million.
According to the Ukrpapir association, production of paper at the factory in kind increased 11%, to 37,050 tonnes. At the same time, production of toilet paper rose by 6.1%, to 111.07 million rolls (a total of 683.77 million rolls was made in Ukraine in 2018, a rise of 1%).
Kokhavynska paper factory has been operating since 1939. The factory producers base paper for hygienic goods, toilet paper and paper towels. The capacity of paper making machines is 19,000 tonnes per year, processing equipment 90 million rolls a year.
As reported, in 2017 the factory produced goods worth UAH 421.5 million, which is 23% more than a year earlier, paper production grew by 23.7%, to 33,350 tonnes.
In 2018 the factory planned to increase production to UAH 550 million.
The factory exports about 40% of the products. The main consumers abroad are the Czech Republic, Romania, as well as companies from Belarus, Moldova, Hungary, and the Netherlands.
