Insurance company Persha increased payments to customers by 40% to UAH 291 mln

In January-June 2025, PJSC Insurance Company Persha (Kyiv) collected UAH 666.9 million in gross premiums, which is 29.3% more than in the first half of last year, and UAH 622.5 million in net premiums (+29.5%), according to the rating agency Standard-Rating in its information on the confirmation of the company’s credit rating/financial stability rating at the level of “uaAA” on the national scale based on the results of the specified period.

In particular, income from individuals grew by 41.91% to UAH 262.406 million, and from reinsurers by 9.84% to UAH 1.730 million. The share of individuals in the insurer’s gross premiums reached 39.35%.

Insurance payments sent to reinsurers in the first half of 2025 increased by 26.99% compared to the same period in 2024, to UAH 44.364 million, The reinsurers’ share in insurance premiums decreased by 0.12 percentage points (pp) to 6.65%.

In January-June 2025, IC Persha paid its clients UAH 291.001 million in insurance payments and reimbursements, which is 39.75% higher than the amount of payments for the same period in 2024.

Thus, the payout ratio increased by 3.26 p.p. to 43.64%.

The insurer’s operating profit for the reporting period increased to UAH 26.601 million, and net profit to UAH 36.134 million.

As of July 1, 2025, the company’s assets grew by 17.51% to UAH 1.291 billion, equity increased by 20.33% to UAH 302.655 million, liabilities increased by 16.68% to UAH 988.597 million, cash and cash equivalents increased by 27.62% to UAH 292.168 million.

The agency notes that as of the reporting date, IC Persha had formed a portfolio of current financial investments in bank deposits in the amount of UAH 57.125 million, which together with cash and cash equivalents covered 35.33% of its liabilities.

PJSC Insurance Company Persha has been operating in the Ukrainian insurance market since 2001. The company specializes in motor insurance. IC Persha is a member of the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Ukraine, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, and the National Insurer of International Road Transport Documents (TIR).

In 2024, IC “Persha” collected more than UAH 1.1 bln in premiums

Last year, PJSC “Insurance Company ‘Persha’ (Kyiv) collected UAH 1.123 billion in gross premiums, which is 35.62% more than in 2023, according to the rating agency ‘Standard Rating’ in information on the confirmation of the credit rating/financial strength rating of the IC at the level of ‘uaAA’ on the national scale based on the results of activities for 2024.

It is also reported that revenues from individuals increased by 2.32% to UAH 417.581 million, while revenues from reinsurers, on the contrary, decreased by 30.54% to UAH 2.404 million. Thus, at the end of 2024, the share of individuals in the insurer’s gross premiums amounted to 37.19%, i.e. legal entities prevailed in the company’s client portfolio.

Insurance payments sent to reinsurers in 2024 increased by 4.38% to UAH 78.338 million compared to 2023, while the reinsurer participation ratio in insurance premiums decreased by 2.09 percentage points (p.p.) to 9.68%.
According to the RA, the insurer’s net written premiums increased by 38.73% to UAH 1.044 billion, and net earned premiums – by 39.56% to UAH 1.047 billion.

In 2024, Perva Insurance paid out UAH 452.743 million in insurance claims and indemnities to its clients, which is 55.09% higher than the volume of payments in 2023. Thus, the level of payments increased by 5.07 percentage points to 40.33%.
According to the results of 2024, the company’s operating profit increased to UAH 30.607 million, net profit – to UAH 36.279 million, return on equity amounted to 14.42%.

As of January 1, 2025, the insurer’s assets increased by 18.51% to UAH 1.099 billion, equity showed an increase of 33.64% and amounted to UAH 251.522 million, liabilities increased by 14.66% to UAH 847.291 million, cash and cash equivalents – by 2.54% to UAH 228.930 million.

At the same time, the RA notes that as of January 1, 2025, IC “Persha” formed a portfolio of current financial investments in bank deposits in the amount of UAH 16.625 million, which, together with cash and cash equivalents, covered 28.98% of its liabilities.
Thus, as of the beginning of 2025, the insurer had satisfactory levels of capitalization (29.69%) and the ratio between liquid assets and liabilities (28.98%).

“Persha” Insurance Company has been operating in the Ukrainian insurance market since 2001. The company’s main specialization is motor insurance. IC “Persha” is a member of MTIBU, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, and the National Insurer of International Road Transport Carnet (TIR).

INSURANCE COMPANY PERSHA REDUCES GROSS PREMIUM COLLECTION IN 2020

PrJSC Insurance Company Persha (Kyiv) in 2020 collected UAH 451.6 million of gross premiums, which is 12.11% less than a year earlier.
According to Expert-Rating, confirming the financial stability rating of the company at the level of “uaAA” on the national scale, when updating the rating, the agency took into account the analysis of the insurer’s activities for 2020.
At the same time, it is noted that part of insurance premiums belonging to reinsurers decreased by 9.27%, UAH 112.410 million, and their share in the structure of the company’s gross premiums increased by 0.78 percentage points, to 24.89%.
Last year, Persha carried out UAH 215.430 million of insurance payments and compensations, which is 1.98% less than in 2019. At the same time, the level of payments increased by 4.93 percentage points, to 47.7%.
The company’s net worth in 2020 increased by 9.16%, to UAH 136.580 million, and its gross liabilities increased by 7.29%, to UAH 623.970 million.
Cash and cash equivalents on the accounts of Persha as of December 31, 2020 increased by 7.58%, to UAH 318.950 million.
Based on the results of activities in 2020, the company received a net profit of UAH 7.32 million, which is 48.73% less than in 2019. At the same time, the company received loss from operating activities in the amount of UAH 7.17 million.
