PJSC Farmak (Kyiv), one of the three leaders of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical industry, in the first half of 2018 increased pharmacy sales by 17.4%, to UAH 2.232 billion. According to a press release of the pharmaceutical company, with reference to a study by Proxima Research, thus, Farmak for the eighth consecutive year has been leading the rating of marketing organizations in the pharmaceutical market of the country in January-June 2018.
As reported, Farmak in January-March 2018 increased sales of medicines by 18.35% compared to the same period in 2017, to UAH 1.1 billion.
In 2017 Farmak raised sales in the retail pharmaceutical market of the country by 21% in monetary terms. Its net profit increased by 29.9%, to UAH 839.09 million.
Over the past seven years, the company has allocated UAH 2.8 billion for the development and modernization of production.
PJSC Farmak exports its products to 20 countries. The company’s portfolio includes 220 product dossiers. Annually, it brings to the market up to 20 new medicines.
Pharmacy sales in Ukraine in the first half of 2018 in monetary terms increased by 36% compared to the same period in 2017 and amounted to UAH 43.011 billion. Business Credit told Interfax-Ukraine that during this period sales in natural terms increased by 5%, to 780.737 million packs.
According to the company, retail sales of medicines in the first half of the year in monetary terms increased by 38%, to UAH 35.454 billion, in natural terms by 16%, to 530.846 million packs.
The average weighted price of all categories of goods of pharmacy retail sales in January-June amounted to UAH 53.8, medicines some UAH 66.8, the increase compared to the first half of 2017 amounted to 30% and 19% respectively.
In June 2018, pharmacy sales of all product categories in monetary terms rose by 23% compared to the same period in 2017, to UAH 6.256 billion, in natural terms decreased by 2%, to 116.249 million packs. Sales of medicines in money terms grew by 25%, to UAH 5.101 billion, in natural terms by 6%, to 76.338 million packs.
Pharmacy sales in Ukraine in January-May 2018 in money terms grew by 38% compared to the same period in 2017, to UAH 36.607 billion.
Sales in physical terms increased by 6% in January-May 2018, to 654.188 million packs, the Business Credit company told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the company, in particular, retail sales of medicines in money terms increased by 41%, UAH 30.3563 billion, sales in packages grew by 18%, to 454.508 million packs.
The average price of goods in the so-called “pharmacy basket” for the first five months of 2018 was UAH 55.96 for the package, the average price of medicines was UAH 66.78 for the package.
In May 2018, pharmacy sales amounted to UAH 6.579 billion, which is 26% more than a year earlier, medicines sales increased by 28%, to UAH 5.441 billion.
Pharmacy sales in Ukraine in January-March 2018 in monetary terms increased by 43% compared to the same period in 2017, to UAH 22.886 billion. Business Credit told Interfax-Ukraine pharmacy sales in natural terms for the first quarter increased by 8%, to 411.515 million packs. According to the company, in particular, retail sales of medicines in monetary terms increased by 45%, to UAH 18.976 billion, in natural terms by 24%, to 287.662 million packs.
The average weighted price of goods in the pharmacy basket for the first quarter of 2018 was UAH 55.6 per package, medicines some UAH 66 per package. Pharmacy sales in March 2018 amounted to UAH 7.752 billion, which is 36% more than a year earlier, drug sales grew by 39%, to UAH 6.416 billion.
As reported, in 2017 pharmacy sales in money terms increased by 19% compared to 2016, to UAH 68.271 billion, in natural terms by 12%, to 1.513 billion packs. Retail sales of medicines for the year in monetary terms rose by 19%, to UAH 54.653 billion, in natural terms by 12%, to 942.777 million packs. The average weighted price of goods in the pharmacy basket in 2017 amounted to UAH 45.12 per package, medicines some UAH 58 per package.
