POLTAVA MINING AND PROCESSING PLANT INTENDS TO INCREASE CHARTER CAPITAL BY 62%

Poltava mining and processing plant (PGOK, Ferrexpo Poltava Mining, Horishni Plavni, Poltava region), the largest producer of iron ore pellets in Ukraine, by the decision of its sole shareholder, Swiss-based Ferrexpo AG, intends to increase its charter capital by 62.3%, or UAH 1.185 billion through an additional issue of shares without public offering.
The corresponding issue of shares was registered by the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market of Ukraine on October 18.
At the time of the decision on the issue (July 31 of this year), the charter capital of PGOK amounted to UAH 1.902 billion and was divided into 191 million shares with a par value of UAH 9.96. The sources of increase in the charter capital are cash in foreign currency.
The term for the placement of shares is from October 4 to November 20 of this year.
As reported, Ferrexpo AG, which owned a 99.1167% stake in PGOK, in June of this year forcibly bought back shares from minority shareholders under a squeeze-out procedure and increased its stake to 100%. The buyback price amounted to UAH 34.24.
Ferrexpo Plc, which owns 100% of Ferrexpo AG, which in turn owns 100% of Poltava GOK and 100% of Yeristovo GOK, is traded on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
Since the beginning of July this year, the price of Ferrexpo shares on the LSE fell by almost 2.1 times, to GBP1.354 per share, which is the lowest level since January 2017.

CHEMALLIANCE LAUNCHES LIQUID FERTILIZER PLANT WORTH $1 MLN IN ZAPORIZHIA REGION

Chemical Alliance LLC (ChemAlliance) has launched a plant for the production of liquid complex fertilizers with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes per month in Zaporizhia region, owner of the company Vitaliy Popov has said.
“On July 1, we launched a plant for the production of liquid complex fertilizers with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes per month in Zaporizhia region. Investments amounted to about $1 million,” he told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Popov, now the company is looking for a site for the second, more powerful production, which is to be launched in the spring of 2020.
“We plan to build two more plants in different parts of Ukraine. Ideally, these are Zhytomyr and Poltava or Cherkasy. I hope that we will implement these projects by the end of 2020. In total, we will reach 30,000 tonnes of liquid complex fertilizers per month,” he noted.
Popov said that Ukrainian raw materials and those imported from the EU (50/50) are used for the production of fertilizers.
Chemical Alliance LLC (Poltava) was established in 2010. It is engaged in production and sale of liquid mineral fertilizers and sale of granular ones.

KYIV’S BUSINESSMAN BUYS MIZUN MINERAL WATER PLANT

Kyiv’s businessman Dmytro Nikiforov has built up 100% of corporate rights in a group of companies owning the Mizun mineral water plant (Ivano-Frankivsk region), producing water under the VODA UA trademark. According to the information on the website of InVenture, the group of companies includes Mizun LLC, Astreya LLC and Karpaty Mineral Waters LLC. Mizun deposit of table and medicinal waters is the largest in Ukraine with a confirmed debit of 1 million liters per day. The plant produces 19 SKU of natural table water under three trademarks (VODA UA, Horianka, Karpatska Vysokohirna), as well as mineral medicinal water. The total capacity allows bottling 150,000 liters per shift.
According to InVenture, the new owner of the plant seeks to invest $2.4 million in the modernization and expansion of production, and in the two-year term – to enter the top 10 Ukrainian bottled water producers.
“According to experts, the purchase of the plant could cost the businessman $1.5-2 million. The flagship brand of the VODA UA group was created about three years ago and demonstrates strong growth, primarily in the HoReCa segment,” InVenture said.
According to the public register of Legal Entities and individual entrepreneurs, Nikiforov also co-owns several enterprises registered in Kyiv and is engaged in trade, consulting services, and other services.

T.B.FRUIT BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF PLANT FOR PROCESSING FRUITS IN POLAND

T.B.Fruit, one of the largest processors of fruits and berries in Ukraine, has begun the construction of the eighth plant of the group for processing fruits and berries in Brzostowiec (Poland), investment in which will amount to EUR45 million, founder of T.B.Fruit Taras Barschovsky has said. “The capacity for apple processing will be 300,000 tonnes, strawberries 10,000 tonnes, cherries 6,000 tonnes, raspberries 12,000 tonnes, currants some 7,000 tonnes per year. Production start is scheduled for July 2020,” he told the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
According to Barschovsky, investments in the plant are estimated at EUR45 million.
T.B.Fruit is a vertically integrated international group of companies with a closed production cycle (growing raw materials, processing, transportation).
The group of companies was established in July 2011 after the consolidation of all the assets of businessman Taras Barschovsky.

ENERGOATOM ANNOUNCES TENDER TO BUILD SOLAR PLANT NEAR NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

Energoatom has announced a tender for the supply of equipment and materials for the solar power plant Sonechko-1, which is to be built in the territory of Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (NPP).
According to the ProZorro system, the corresponding auction is scheduled for June 24. The expected cost of work is UAH 270.52 million.
Energoatom proposes to supply 48,900 single-crystal or polycrystalline Risen photovoltaic modules with a capacity of 310–320 W, some 360 network inverters, 13 complete substations of 0.4/6 kV and one substation of 35/6kV, as well as 119,300 meters of copper cable.
Energoatom announced the intention to build a solar plant with a capacity of about 15 MW at Zaporizhia NPP in 2017. Since then, there have been preparatory work: design, geodetic studies. It was assumed that the solar station will be located on 37 hectares, in the territory of hydraulic structures between the cooling pond and the Kaniv water reservoir.

UFUTURE OPENES AT BILA TSERKVA INDUSTRIAL PARK MODERN PLANT

UFuture Investment Group has opened Plank Electrotechnic, Ukraine’s first plant to produce modern electrotechnical systems. The building of the enterprise meets international BREEAM sustainability standards (compliance with about 50 criteria for environmental construction). Plank Electrotechnic products are now undergoing EU certification procedures.
“We have invested $2.8 million in the enterprise and expect to return the investment within five years. The Ukrainian market is a priority, but the company plans to expand the outreach to Eastern European consumers. I believe that the development of modern technological industries is a very promising area, both from business and social points of view – it is not only profit, but also taxes and jobs,” Vasyl Khmelnytsky, the founder of UFuture, has said.
Plank Electrotechnic will produce about 4.6 million units annually and will compete mainly with Chinese and Turkish manufacturers on the Ukrainian market. This high-tech enterprise will produce electrical fittings, accessories and components: sockets, switches, mounting boxes, cable ties, buttons, etc.

The construction of three new plants at Bila Tserkva Industrial Park will start within the year, and 20 modern enterprises will be created in the next four years.
