NOVA Introduces Position of Chief People Officer to Develop International Group’s HR System

The NOVA Group of Companies, which includes Nova Poshta, announced the creation of a new position of Chief People Officer (CPO)—a role responsible for building the management team and developing a unified HR system across the entire international group, according to a post on LinkedIn.

The CPO’s main responsibilities include recruiting top-tier talent for the senior management team, ensuring their onboarding, evaluation, development, and retention; implementing approaches to recruitment, evaluation, development, and retention of employees; and launching an end-to-end system for goal-setting and performance evaluation.

Other responsibilities of the CPO include transforming the HR function into a strategic business partner and establishing a succession planning system for key roles.

It is noted that the company expects the candidate to have more than 10 years of experience in HR in leadership positions at international companies, experience in building N-1 and N-2 management teams with A-class talent, as well as experience implementing HR strategies during periods of growth and change and experience in building a unified management culture across different countries.

In addition, the Nova Post group of companies offers conditions where the CPO will be part of the group’s top management team, reporting to the co-CEOs and the supervisory board, along with a high salary, to be discussed individually based on the results of the interview.

Other benefits include health insurance and other perks provided for the position, with the employment type being a contract and a hybrid work format (Kyiv).

Last week, Nova Poshta co-owner Vyacheslav Klimov announced the group’s five-year plan to rise from 30th place among global express delivery and postal services to the top 20, increasing shipment volume from 0.5 billion to 2 billion, follow the U.S. in entering the Canadian and Chinese markets this year, and double the number of countries where Nova Post Europe operates to 32 by 2028.

The core business of Nova Poshta, the main asset of the NOVA Group, is the express delivery of documents, parcels, and palletized oversized cargo. Its ultimate beneficial owners are Volodymyr Poperechnyuk and Vyacheslav Klimov.

PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE: GERMANY’S POSITION HAS RECENTLY BEEN CHANGING IN FAVOR OF UKRAINE

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Germany’s position has recently been changing in favor of Ukraine.
“I spoke today with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. About how to bring to justice all those responsible for war crimes. How to strengthen sanctions against Russia and how to force Russia to seek peace. I am glad to note that recently the German position has been changing in favor of Ukraine,” he said in a video message on Sunday evening.
“I consider this absolutely logical. Since this is the course supported by the majority of the German people,” the president said, noting that he expects “everything agreed upon will be implemented.”

KIEV-BASED STATE BANK UKREXIMBANK ANNOUNCES COMPETITION FOR POSITION OF BOARD CHAIRMAN

The supervisory board of Kyiv-based state bank Ukreximbank has announced a competition to select a candidate for the position of board chairman and hired international recruitment company Odgers Berndtson, the Finance Ministry of Ukraine reported on its website.
According to the statement, the supervisory board approved this decision on November 15. Applications from candidates will be accepted from November 18 until December 2, 2019. On December 3, the bank’s nomination and remuneration committee in cooperation with Odgers Berndtson will form a list of not more than 10 candidates admitted to the next stage of the competition. On December 4-6, interview with the candidates will be held after which three candidates will be admitted to the final stage of the competition.
On December 6, the final stage of the competition will be held.
A candidate for the position must have at least five years of experience in the financial sector in total, including at least three years on senior managerial positions as well as have impeccable business reputation.
As reported, on November 16, 2019, the Security Service of Ukraine acting in charge of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine (PGO) detained Board Chairman of Ukreximbank Oleksandr Hrytsenko in the framework of a criminal proceeding on the grounds of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 255 (creation of a criminal organization), Part 5 of Article 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement of property or possession by abuse of office), Part 3 of Article 209 (legalization (laundering) of proceeds of crime).
Pechersky District Court of Kyiv chose a measure of restraint to Hrytsenko in the form of a UAH 3 million bail without keeping in custody.
According to the PGO, Hrytsenko is under investigation into case No. 12013220540000400 dated January 31, 2013, for being a part of a criminal organization, created by former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and his companions in February 2010, and is charged with assistance in lifting seizures from deposits and collateral for a $160 million loan for the purchase of the Ukrainian Media Holding.
Hrytsenko was appointed as Board Chairman of Ukreximbank in August 2014.
Ukreximbank, the sole owner of which is the state, was created in 1992. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, as of October 1, 2019, in terms of total assets (UAH 205.439 billion), the bank was third among 76 banks operating in the country.

CURRENT SECRETARY OF NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL OF UKRAINE CONFIRMS HIS INTEREST IN POSITION OF PM

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk has said that he is interested in the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine.
“I won’t lie that I am interested,” Danyliuk said in an interview with TSN.Tyzhden, answering the question whether he is interested in the position of the head of the Ukrainian government in the future.
In turn, the journalist noted that Dmytro Razumkov, the leader of the Servant of the People Party, could claim the post of prime minister.
“There are many of those who want it. But that is not the point,” answered the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
