LARGEST BANK IN UKRAINE PRIVATBANK AGAIN ANNOUNCES TECHNOLOGICAL PAUSE IN OPERATION OF PRIVAT24 SYSTEM

On April 18, the State PrivatBank will introduce a technological pause in making payments through Privat24 from 23:00 to 8:00 on Monday for the third week in a row for technical work, the bank said on Sunday.
“PrivatBank from 23:00 on April 17 to 8:00 on April 18 is carrying out the next stage of scheduled maintenance work in Privat24 (…) During the work, the applications and the web version of Privat24 will not be available,” the financial institution said.
It is noted that settlements in the trading network and ATMs will work as usual.
As reported, PrivatBank held a technical pause a week earlier, scheduled from 23:00 on April 10 to 8:00 on April 11, which was extended until 6:00 on April 12. The bank also suspended the operation of services from March 20 to 21 to introduce reserve capacities.
According to the statistics of the National Bank of Ukraine, as of January 1, 2022, PrivatBank ranked 1st (UAH 582.85 billion) among 71 banks operating in the country in terms of total assets.

REMITTANCES VIA STATE-CONTROLLED PRIVAT24 INCREASE TO 48% IN 2020

Share of remittances from abroad sent via Privat24 application of state-controlled bank PrivatBank amounted to 48% in January-August 2020 as compared for the same period in 2019, to 35%.
“Every second money transfer that Ukrainians received from abroad with the help of PrivatBank in 2020 was paid via Privat24 mobile bank,” stated PrivatBank’s press service.
According to the bank data, over the past year, the share of remittances received at the bank’s cash desks decreased by 1.3%, to 24%.
Since the beginning of 2020, the share of money transfers performed through PrivatBank stands at 54% of the total volume of remittances being 1.4% up as compared to 2019.
