The number of households that installed PV panels in April-June 2021 grew by 3,480 units, or 11%, the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving reported on Thursday.
“Today, the 98 MW installed by families is an investment of about EUR 60 million,” the agency said.
According to the agency’s press release, as of July 1, 2021, there are 35,400 families in Ukraine that generate and consume electricity from solar energy, and the total capacity of the PV panel units installed by them has reached 933 MW.
At the same time, the agency said that the indicators of the second quarter of 2020 decreased by half, to 1,541 units (42 MW), while the indicators for the same period in 2019 were 3,045 units (86 MW).
The three leaders in terms of the number of installed PV units include Dnipropetrovsk region (5,706 units with a total capacity of 141 MW), Ternopil region (2,788 units with a total capacity of 79 MW) and Kyiv region (2,718 units with a total capacity of 78 MW).
As of October 1, 2020, some 27,623 Ukrainian households have installed photovoltaic (PV) panels and are consuming “clean” electricity in Ukraine.
The press service of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving reported that in the third quarter of 2020, almost 2,000 more households switched to PV panels. The total capacity of all PV panels is 712 MW, of which 53 MW (8% up) were launched in the third quarter of 2020.
“Since 2015, households have invested about EUR 560 million in PV panels. This is a contribution to their own energy independence and autonomy, as well as to the development of a large-scale Ukrainian market for services and equipment in green energy,” the press service said, citing acting Chairman of the agency Kostiantyn Hura.
As of July 1, 2020 some 25,600 households installed PV panels and utilize clean electricity.
“In the second quarter of 2020, another 1,500 households switched to PV panels. The total amount invested by families exceeds EUR 520 million, and the total capacity of all PV panels is 658 MW,” the press service of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving said.
The leaders among the regions in the use of alternative generation are: Dnipropetrovsk – almost 3,500 MW, Ternopil – more than 2,200 MW, Kyiv – more than 2,000 MW, Ivano-Frankivsk – more than 1,900 MW and Zakarpattia – almost 1,600 MW.
About 22,000 Ukrainian households installed photovoltaic (PV) panels in 2019 and use clean electricity, the press service of the State Agency of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving has reported.
So, as of January 1, 2020, about 22,000 households in the country use clean electricity, having invested about EUR 450 million in PV panels. The total capacity of the installed panels exceeds 553 MW.
“Thanks to solar panels, families save on electricity bills, independently provide for their energy needs, become energy-efficient, have more motivation to use energy-efficient household appliances,” the authority said.
The leaders among the regions in the use of clean electricity are: Dnipropetrovsk – 2,700 MW, Ternopil – more than 2,000 MW, and Kyiv – almost 1,800 MW.
As reported, as of October 1, 2019, about 15,000 households had established PV panels in Ukraine, having invested EUR 300 million in them
